My aunt works at this school and has for years and years. My nieces and nephew have gone and it's been great for them.

Depending on your budget, how old your child is and when you wish to start I highly highly recommend The Montessori Academy in Dalworthington Gardens. It's a private school that starts at 18 months so they follow a regular school calendar. Toddlers can go for a half or full day 2,3 or 5 days a week.

My son started last August at 18 months last August and we love the school. The teachers are all Montessori trained and certified so they aren't just glorified babysitters like they are at some (not all) MDO programs. The school is also very professionally run and certified not just by state but by a national Montessori certification organization and by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. I've worked on SACS certification before (was a college librarian) and I know it's not easy to get.

My son has learned a lot and become more independent and we've become better parents as a result of the parent education sessions they offer. We love the school and hope to send him as long as we can afford to do so (the school goes until 6th grade). If you're interested in more info feel free to PM me.
