Dallas Children's Theater
Anyone ever been?
What is it like? Are the shows well done? They are doing a production of Junie B. Jones and I was thinking about taking Savanna since she loved these books. Anyone know how to get a promo code -- the tickets are kinda high considering it's a children's production.

I called to see if they let you buy daytime tickets if you're not part of a group and they said no. I was really hoping we could see a less expensive, daytime show since we only have school M,W,F.

The shows are fabulous. The productions are all professionally done. It's the Dallas Children's Theater, but it is not a kid production. It is a professional adult group that does productions for kids.
If you can get a group of ten, then you can get the group rate during the day.
We go see almost all of the shows for $7.50 each.

I posted about the group thing. Search the thread. Basically, I will not be going to Junie B Jones in a group because their group schedule doesn't work with our schedule, but I posted all the info other people would need to do the group thing. there were a lot of people who responded wanting to be in a group. Now someone just needs to take the bull by the horns and plan it if they wan to see JBJ. We will probably do the Halloween show in a group, but I won't be planning it for a couple weeks.

Thanks for the info. We will probably be going on our own because I am looking more at going on a Sunday afternoon.

We've gone to many. Worth the money IMO. The theaters are on the smaller side, so certainly do not feel like you have to buy up close and center. Have fun!
Oh, if you are concerned about seating, I think you buy tickets in group A & group B sections. So, arrive early for lining up and you'll be first in line to sit closer up.
