That one book you recommend to all your friends... what's the best book you've ever read? I have quite a few... off hand, A Time to Kill by John Grisham and Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner.

I first read it in the 7th grade, and I don't even know how many times I've read it since then. Tess of the D'Urbervilles - Thomas Hardy She's Come Undone - Wally Lamb Where is Joe Merchant - Jimmy Buffett the Little House series my ancient copy of An Anthology of Robert Frost's Poems But for some reason, I don't recommend these to my friends. I think I have wierd taste when it comes to books. My FAVORITE book that I have read thus far is Stolen Lives by Malika Oufkir. It was in my book club a few years ago and on Oprah's list. It literally sucked me in and I could not put it down. It's a true story as well. Scott Fitzgerald - The Great Gatsby. I almost forgot, I loved Steinbeck's - Of Mice and Men. Susan 07-29-2008 Tuesday, 10:04 AM One that I read over and over as a child is Watership Down. Awesome book! I was just cleaning and came across a well loved copy of "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal" by Christopher Moore and it's one of the funniest books of all time. Certainly not a read for everyone but certainly something a George Carlin fan could appreciate. |
