"Great With Child: Letters to a Young Mother" by Beth Ann Fennelly is an astounding, beautifully written collection of letters. I LOVED reading this book and recommend it to every woman who has ever had or wants to have children. I'm going to buy several copies of it so I have a great gift on hand for upcoming baby showers. Its a keeper!

I have and I :love :heartbeat :love it! It was hard to find and I eventually ordered it from Amazon. For me, Beth Ann was able to articulate the feelings of new mommyhood far better than I could have.

All the letters written by the same author to one of her grad students. Her student became unexpectedly pregnant and asked her mentor and ex-professor to write to her everyday of her pregnancy. And the professor (Beth Ann Fennelly) did. She wrote about every other day for nine months and the letters are absolutely invaluable!

Wow, it sounds awesome! I'll have to pick it up. I've been writing letters to Drew since he was born & I love going back through them. They're probably more for me than for him ;)
