* I'm in Richardson & I'm looking for a good OB/GYN in the area & MUST BE A LADY. Please tell me... good & bad!

* Also, I'm unfamiliar with the hospitals in the area. Which ones are good/bad? Stats on pregnancies?

I went to see Yasmin Khan a several months ago for a yearly check up but I never got to see her. The nurse saw me, she was extremely nice, answered all my questions even the ones that did not relate to her field, and made me really comfortable during the exam. (& I was really nervous since I had never been to an OB/GYN's office before). I'm shying away from her because when I tried to schedule another appointment to see the Dr. I was told it would be at least a couple of months before I could see her. I figured if it takes her that long to see me, what will happen in an emergency?

SUGGESTIONS? :dunno

It almost seems like the doctor is too busy if they can't see you sooner. Most ob/gyn will always see you in emergency. And when you are pregnant you are first priority. My obgyn only treats me for female stuff not things that can be treated by regular doctor.

I just wanted to say that I have used Dr. Khan before and because she is a solo practicioner, it is sometimes hard to get in with her. I had changed doctors, however, because I didn't really care for her bedside manner. I had brought my kids and dh with me for a sono and was hoping to make some small talk with her but she was too busy to even say hello to dh, much less my kiddos that were with me. She is much too busy perhaps and that is not something I care for in a doctor. I like my doctors to be a bit more personal, kwim?

Anyways, I used Dr. Heidi Harms in Medical City Dallas, and whilst it is a distance from Plano (not much of one), she is well worth the drive!

I'd recommend Dr. Annie Bass. She is also works solo. But, she is very experience & accomodating. she is busy too. But, it wont be that hard to get an appt.
