Concrete Floors...

Ok a little background mh dh and I have wanted to put in new floors since we bought the house 5 yrs ago. I kept telling him hey lets do this and his response oh we will lets... so he decided finally we needed to do the floors after we found out i was pg with our ds. We went down bought all the flooring and everything we needed, I was then put on bedrest for 2 1/2 months so of course it was never done. So in March him and a couple of buddies ripped the carpet out of our bedroom and Logan's room. Then in May they ripped the flooring out of the hallway and part of the living room. He kept saying he would finish it never did so next week he has a mandatory week off of work he was supposed to finish it then. He still has to finish pulling the flooring out of the living room and get the nasty carpet out of the office. So today he calls me and I say I cant wait until next week when we finish this up and I have my new flooring. He tells me well since there is a good chance it will rain I decided not to do it next week. I AM TIRED OF THESE FREAKING CEMENT FLOORS!!!!

Sorry I just really needed to vent. Also if anyone knows of any cleaning product that actually cleans cement floors please let me know because I cant find any.

I think you would have to seal the concrete, if you wanted to keep them and be able to clean them.
Can you have someone else do the floors?

:yeah You do have to seal them somehow. We just painted ours once - deck paint.

I told him that if he didnt have these floors done by the end of next week I am calling a professional to do it and he will just have to fork up the cash. They have been sealed its just that I can mop them 3 times a day and they are still dirty.

:hug I would call a contractor and get prices and say if its not done by a certain date than you are going to get the contractor to do it. Im not very patient like that though LOL

I frequently share your pain of the neverending project. Right now I hae no front porch(it's a wrap around that DH thought would take one weekedn to redo~that was almost 4 weeks ago). No advice on the concrete floors.
