Madison has been waking up earlier and earlier and I THINK it's because the sun is coming up earlier. We've looked around for a black out type shade, but we need one that'll semi-match a pink and yellow and white room. I mean, I don't want a dark dark color or any kind of textured straw stuff (you know those kind?). We already have blinds, and I'm kind of wanting to keep those too......but I'm clueless on what to get. We've looked at quite a few places with no luck.

I have the same problem. The kids' windows face the sun at bedtime, so it's pretty bright. We got off white window dressing / curtains and I had my MIL sew some heavy, sun blocking fabric onto the back. For the life of me I can't think of what that's called, reinforcing? I've also seen some heavy shades that were made to block out the sun at Walmart, but they were pretty expensive.

We are looking as well.
We bought some awsome ones for Julia's room before she was born at the old house. When we went to buy them for Sevi's room they no longer carried them. Now we really need them here. We actually just started looking this week. So if you find something, let us know.

:yeah We bought some at Walmart called Black Out and they are heavy white. They come with hooks so you hang them first and then put your window treatment. I have long curtains in the girls room so you couldn't see them. They where always behind the curtains. You can also cut them to size.

I have bought some at Linens N Things
They slide right on a tension rod, so you can stick 'em right in front of (or behind) your blinds.

:yeah I was going to say JcPenney. They have the best selection of those.
ETA: These are the ones I was just looking at the other day. They aren't beautiful, but they are what we need and I think I can make them go fine in the room. They'll be rolled up anyhow most of the day.
