Bought Ladybugs

I hope they stick around for a while! I put some in the front yard and some in the back so I am hoping they find a place and stick around and the rain doesn't wash them away. Anyways I thought I would try them before spraying the strawberries with anything, organic or not. The store (Wells Brother's Farm Store)also had praying mantis's but those creep me out! Anyone else try ladybugs?

No, I haven't tried them, although I saw a container full of 'em at calloway's nursery. I guess they eat the aphids in your garden...but the guy behind the counter said if they don't stick around, its because there are no bugs to eat. Must be a ton of aphids in my yard, because our lawn is full of them!:lol

I buy them every year. I've always found that I need to buy them a few times. There are always some dead ones in the bag. I also buy praying mantis but i never see them after they hatch. The lady bugs I continue to see. Seth loves to help spread out the lady bugs.

And you didn't let my kiddos help spread them out.
