Clothes pin angels?

I ran into some of the old fashion wood peg style pins at a dollar store. The girls and I just spent the morning making angels...lots of glue and glitter...Carissa was in HEAVEN! lol

Just thought I would remind people of this fun activity...I can't wait to do butterflies in the spring!

(By the way, the Dollar Tree at Ferndale and NW Hwy, had a great supply of cute holiday stuff....headbands with reindeer antlers and red hats...even in baby sizes....other stuff, too. Right next door to a Tuesday Morning)

You use the wooden, peg style, clothes pins....then cut out wings (heart shape) color and docorate them, and paste them onto the pin. I used glitter glue to make halos. This can be as detailed or plain as you want them to be. . . You can also use felt for wings, clothes, etc....
The pins come in plain and in colors, too. I used the plain for the angels, but have some color ones saved for spring...butterflies!....;)

i just spent hours at the school making angel decorations out of pastas. a tube pasta for the body, glue a bowtie pasta to the back for wings. a wood bead for the head. a macaroni for the arm. glue a thumbtack onto the end of the macaroni, point up, and paint the tip red for the flame of the candle. tiny pastas for the hair, or sea beads if you can't find small enough hair pastas. sometimes you can find the head beads with a hanger string already running through them. otherwise, just glue loop of ribbon to the back.
