I can't seem to get my daughter to eat. She used be drink formula without a problem. But over the past week or so, she has been a bit fussier and not interested in taking in anything. She does OK in the morning but the last two bottles she only drinks about half. I don't know if it's nothing or if I should be worried...

Any other symptoms like white sores in the mouth? loose BMs?
I know thrush can cut their appitite.

Her mouth actually looks pretty clean to me- minus the copious amounts of drool. Her BM's are occassionally a little looser but nothing too watery or anything I would think of as diarrhea. She hasn't had a fever, runny nose, and is otherwise pretty active.

If she's teething and her teeth are bothering her, that could very well be why she isn't wanting to eat. The drool, fussiness (sp?), and loose BM's would lead me to believe she's teething -if there's nothing else going on that you can think of. If you feel like she's loosing weight (or you don't think that teething is the case) I'd call the pedi. just to be sure.

I never thought that she could be teething...but that would explain a lot. I had thought that teeth didn't come in for a while so I never considered it.
Thanks! :)

My first thought was teething, too!
My DD got her first 2 teeth at 4 1/2 months!

Yep, teeth can come in pretty much anytime. I know a little one who had a tooth at 2 days old. Yep, a tooth...all the way through and everything. On the flip side, some kids (like my dh and his sister for example) didn't cut the first tooth until several weeks after their 1st birthday. So there's no rule to when they can get them! ;)
