Uploading images from photobucket

Does anyone else use photobucket to upload their digital pictures? My Kodak easy share software doesn't allow me to resize my very large pictures, so I have to use photobucket to resize them. Anyway, I have uploaded the pics, shrunk them 50%, but everytime I try to paste the URL in to do an avatar, I get an error message saying that it can't find the URL. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

I've never used Photobucket before, so I don't know what problem you might be having. But, in the short term, if you want someone to resize your photo and upload your avatar, please feel free to email it to me, and I'll take care of it. nicole at eades dot ws

It was doing that to me the other day, too. I wonder if it's something wrong with their site or something. Let me play around and see what I can do...

Okay, so it's not just me! I'm pretty computer illiterate, so I always assume that I'm doing something wrong. That would be so nice of you Nicole, I'll see if I can send that to you!

Is this a problem you are all having with just this site? Or is the problem with Photobucket? If it's with just this site, I'll have my husband check into it and see if we can fix the problem.

Not sure what the problem is. Can you save the picture to your computer and upload the avatar from your computer instead. That's what I do.

Okay, I've been reading the support forums for the software, and I can find other threads where people have had the same problem, but nobody has said how to fix it. I'll keep searching.

Until then, either upload the avatar from your computer (not using the link option, but the upload option), or email it to me at nicole at eades dot ws. :)
