Have any of you tackled a retirement account or IRA for your own retirement planning? I just rolled over my retirement account from my previous job into an IRA and I want to keep up a retirement account for myself while I am staying at home... But I'm not sure if it's best to just dump money into a Roth IRA that I currently have? Or set up a different kind of account?
We're not rolling in money by any means, but I think I'll be staying at home the next 7-8 years or so, so I don't want to let these years slip by without planning for retirement. Has anyone set up an account lately? Any thoughts or advice? I'm sure lots of people just use their partner's/husband's 401(k)s from work, but I really want to maintain my own as well.
Thanks!
