Well, I officially started potty training Owen Saturday, and he's doing great! My Dh is out of town on a business trip and I read somewhere that it's a good idea for one parent to do all of the training, so I thought this might be a good time. He had 10+ accidents on Saturday, but only 2 on Sunday! Not only that, he woke up from his nap dry both days! He's still wearing pull-ups at night, I wasn't brave enough to try that yet. The funniest thing is that the character underpants really worked, he doesn't want to pee on Shrek so he asks to use the potty - it's really cute!

HI! Just saw this post! Great job Owen!!!!!
I just started training Brandi today. I think she's holding it since she only went potty once & it was on our kitchen floor. Just the beginning though.......... :)

Update - still going well, only one accident yesterday at daycare and it was in the afternoon. That makes sense to me because his favorite teacher is the morning teacher.
Kelly, Congrats with Brandi! One accident (and not on the carpet) is awesome!! Here's my magic bullet....I figured out he didn't mind sitting on the potty, he just didn't want to stop what he was doing to go to the bathroom. Soo, I bring the potty into the living room and let him sit there while he watches Wiggles. Works like a charm! Of course, if he's peeing and pooping on my living room floor in a month I'll know it wasn't such a good idea after all. But until then, I'll take the great results I've gotten so far!!

Abbi,
I'm sorry but had to laugh about peeing & pooping on the living room floor! I bought Brandi a potty last year & just left it in the bathroom to see if she would show any interest. She just thought it was a stepping stool for the sink. It has pretty much been out in the garage all summer because she only wanted to use the toilet (which I thought was awesome). I bought her a small seat to go on top of the toilet seat & placed a step stool infront. Now I leave the potty in the kitchen. I realized too she didn't want to stop what she was doing to go to the bathroom.
