Opening Reception will have Art Specialist and Curator Robert Garren

Hey, you guys who are our professional "art people" ;) What do you think? Would this be fun? I certainly won't be buying anything. lol

That's the day of my soon-to-be sister-in-law's shower, but it does look interesting especially the work by Tony Blass. I don't know anything about Russian art for the exception of icons. I had not realized that they had their own version of impression. If you go, let me know how it turned out. Even though you can't buy anything at least you'll get free wine and snacks and some visual stimulation. If you can get away to attend art lectures I can keep you posted with some of the latest.

sounds like fun to me, maggie. unfortunately, my babysitter husband works weekends, and it doesn't look like the kind of place that would appreciate my lovely children lol.

I have the Walk Far For NAAR next week, too. I do think for those who have children a bit older...it might really be a great opportunity to inspire as well as educate. I hope there is a similar gallery around when I move to Greensboro...I would love to take the girls to things like this when they are older...8-10...
What a great date activity for a couple who have a afternoon sitter.
