What to Plant Now?

My husband and I pulled some hedges to make a garden this summer. Our tomatoes did not do well, basil is still growing, thyme is good, okra did well, cucumbers (2-3 dozen), cantaloupes (2), and lots of jalapenos. The storm knocked over our existing plants and we pulled up the tomatoes, cucumbers, and cantaloupes. For the exeption of the herbs, we are starting fresh. So, what kinds of vegetables should we be planting this time of year?:)

You are great! Thanks. We have yet to get together with the kiddos. Does your husband work weekends too? I am always looking for something to do then.
