I guess this is a good place to post this question.

What book are you reading right now?

I am a couple pages into The DaVinci Code (so far it is really good) and I need to start The Purpose Driven Life.

we don't have TV so I am always into several books. This week it's:
The Copper Birch by Maeve Binchy
The Case for Christ
It Takes two to Talk (just skimming this one, its about communicating with young children)
The Great Church in Captivity by Steven Runciman

I read Dan Brown's Angels and Demons this summer as well as Jane Eyre.
Both were very good reading! I was going to read Vanity Fair before I read Jane Eyre but never got around to it. This week they've been advertising the movie with Reese Witherspoon like crazy so I guess I'll have to make time. I also want to read The Da Vinci Code and The Case for Christ. I've done half of The Purpose Driven Life a year ago so I need to redo that one.

Costco has The DaVinci Code (hardback) right now and I think it was about $14 and I also picked up The Purpose Driven Life there too.

I want to read Lovely Bones and Bridget Jones' Diary soon.

Tad Williams' Overland....but it is taking me forever. Good book, but I fall asleep after about 5 pages of whatever I read these days. ;)

Women of the Left Bank, Paris 1900-1940 by Shari Benstock and Kiplinger's Personal Finance magazine. It's my favorite mag and a new one came today. My mom had the Vogue with Reese Witherspoon at her house. I am hoping to read it when she's done.

Abduction - Robin Cook
Holy Spirit - Sinclair Ferguson
Conflict and Trimuph in the Book of Job - William Green

All of them are excellent so far :D

I am finishing up The Name of The Rose by Umberto Eco. My book club is suppose to read Confessions of a Shopaholic next. It doesn't look like my style of book, but I am open to trying something new/different. It looks a bit silly and, from the synopsis I read, the main character has little redeeming value. Just curious if anyone has read it and what you thought?

I listened to The Case For Christ on tape earlier this summer and really enjoyed it.

I'm trying to get through all the James Patterson Novels. I'm currently on See How They Run. I've recently read the DaVinci Code and loved it!! It was very good and a page turner..=) I've just ordered through the Doubleday Book Club Dan Brown's other books, so when done with James Patterson, which I have like three left after this one, I'm gonna move on to them.

Yeah. I was wanting some book recommendations. I don't think I'll have lots of free time when the new baby arrives. The only book I've been reading is my student teacher handbook. :)

I finished the DaVinci Code the other night when I could not sleep...I stayed awake for 5 hours reading it and OMG it was AWESOME! It is a must read.

I got a copy of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People and I am a couple of pages into it...pretty good so far.

I got a good deal of the way through Anna Karenina, but haven't had time to pick it up in a while. Same with the other book I was reading, Raising America. Once things get back into their usual routine around here, I should be able to squeeze in a reading time again.

I have started reading Florida Roadkill while I wait for my book club to get organized for the next book. Has anyone read this? My husband recommended it. It is sick but really funny.

Just started The Year of Wonders. And I "accidentally" started re-reading The Red Tent. I love historical fiction.

I really enjoyed reading the red tent. I bought it for my MIL after reading it and I'd like to buy it for myself to read again and add to my mini (but growing) library. I just finished reading Midwives by Chris Bohjalian. Now, I need another good book to read. I want to go to half price books sometime soon.

Please don't curse me. I still have 2 classes tomorrow. Who knows what they'll want. I'm on page 150 so I'm trucking along. I study 19th span. painting but I am in an interdisciplinary program. The 800 pg. book is for my History of 19th c. Thought. Silly me, I thought that it would be my easy class. My DH laughed at me and said anything with thought or theory in the title is going to be horrible.

Reading? What's that? LOL, JK. I haven't read in a while, but honestly, when I do get a chance to read, I only read books by John Saul. He's good and scary. Definetely not something to read before bedtime, though. He'll give you nightmares, lol.

Cynthia-I really enjoyed Angels and Demons. It was a great page turner. I like how Dan Brown intertwines the story with factual information.

I am currently reading 7 Habits of Highly Effective People...so far okay.
