Dream about my mom

She's been gone since 1990 and I haven't dreamt about her since the late 90's. She was in a dream the other night, the first TTC night. I think that is a good sign for the start of our family. I can't remeber now what we said to each other or what she did with me/for me in the dream, but having her "around" is always comforting. I was 18 when she died.

:hug We lived with my grandparents when I was young. They died in 1992 & 1994 & I dream about them all the time. I find it very comforting.

Sheri, The night my mother passed away (she was 45 years old) I finally fell asleep in my clothes. I had the most vivid dream of my life that night. Her mother also passed away at 45 years of age. My dream was that my mother and her mother (my grandmother) were standing and holding hands. Her mother said to me, "it's alright, she's here with me now". I was 2 1/2 years old when my grandmother passed away. I don't remember her although I have seen a few very dated photos. It was as if they were standing in front of me and my grandmother was talking. I felt such peace. I knew at that moment my mother was fine! I knew that she was happy and that I would see her again. I am sure that some psychologists would say that was my coping mechanism for dealing with the death of my mother. Whatever it was renewed my hope. I do believe in dreams and some type of expressed love from those that have gone on to a better world.
Just out of curiosity, was it the night that you and I posted about our losses?

I had the dream on July 25, 2006.
Her death anniversary is Oct. 6. I always "act weirder" around that time of year and only about a week later do I realize that the death anniversary occured.
I don't like to dwell, so I only think of her once in a while. However, I do miss hearing her voice.
I gave some of her items to siblings up north last summer.
She was such a strong influence on me! Always healing and growing.
I do have a great relationship with my MIL, but she will never replace my mom and she doesn't try to!

I dream about my mother alot and I always feel close to her when I do. I too have a great relationship with my MIL, but no one is same as your mother. In fact I just thought about it, yesterday was the anniversary of her death. I do the same thing you do, I act off around that time. Wierd isn't it?
