Day 4 diaper free!

Julian has used the potty all but once in the last 4 days! (We had one wet diaper when Grandma was over and they were playing together - way to much fun to be interupted by bodily processes! LOL)

I'm very excited because while he's been using the toilet for a while now, this is the first time that he's gone to the potty even several times when we've had company over. (well, all but the one time).

And...while before he'd often lead me by the hand to the potty with him... now he will get up from what he's doing, go the the bathroom by himself, take off his diaper, climb up on the toilet, do his business, flush and then come back to play. All real nonchalant like he's been doing this for years.

Anyone know where I can get some training pants? Most of his diapers he can take off by himself when he needs to go, but he can't get them back on when he's done.

Nicole - that's what I'm looking for - underwear with just a touch of padding for those little accidents. To be honest, he hasn't even been wearing diapers at night - just going naked. I'd like to at least have a little padding there, just in case.

That's great with the mini-shower! I usually just sit Julian on the sink counter, with his feet in the sink. He can reach the water that way, and turns on the water himself, gets his own soap, and washes hands (and feet) and rinses.

I seriously need to start training Brandi while David is out of town. Then I can keep training her day & night with no distractions. For awhile there she showed interest & then nothing. I know she doesn't like wearing her diaper. She does get excited when we use the training pants. I only use them when we're away from the house since they are easy to put on.

I have such a messy house right now but I'm a clean freak when it comes to us getting dirty. Do you just have to let go & realize they are going to have accidents?

Well, we went to my mom's today, and guess what? She had a present for Julian. Yep - she went out this morning and bought him some training underwear. He's worn the same pair all day - No accidents! YAY!

And, we went swimming at her house, and twice asked to get out of the pool, frantically trying to peel the wet swimsuit off. Made it to the potty both times! I'm so proud! (*although when his wet naked body hit the cold A/C air of my moms house, he just kept saying "COLD! COLD, Mommy!" LOL!)

Way to go Julian!!! That is REALLY giving me a push to get my almost 2yr old trained. She has done #2 a couple of times herself and ran out of the bathroom scared when she saw it.. haha.. but I really think I need to get her trained as she seems interested!... Hoping I can do the same thing I did with the older two and have her trained in two days.. with them I used the training underwear as well so that they could feel the wetness... perhaps whilst my inlaws are away for the week (at bil's house) I can train her so that she doesnt have any interruptions.. just trying to figure out HOW i will do with a small baby... but I guess anything is possible as River is also a small baby! :) thanks for sharing! You are giving me a push here!!!
