Hello ladies, for those who are already brushing their babies' teeth, which brand of toothpaste do you prefer?...I know that for my daughter's age it needs to be fluoride-free according to the doctor's suggestion.

So far I've only tried the Gerber brand cause it doesn't foam, but it gets expensive for such a small amount over time. Has anyone ever tried the Tom's brand for children?

Thanks for any opinions/suggestions :)

We use Tom's children's floride-free for Julian, and the "adult" floride-free gel for dh and myself.

As far as River, we haven't used any toothpaste, even though his first tooth showed up at 7 weeks! Kid you not. I took him into our midwife to make sure I wasn't crazy! LOL!

We've been using Orajel Training Toothpaste. It's been a struggle for me to brush his teeth, though. He wants to do it himself! Flossing is no problem, go figure!

Thank you both for your replies, I appreciate the input since this is practical info we certainly need.

My daughter gives me a hard time also when it comes to brushing, I am giving her her own brush while I brush, and she's now imitating me, which is so much fun.

I'll try the Tom's fluoride-free since I have it at home now. Thanks once again :) We are trying to keep those little pearls cavity free :D
