Weaning Advice

I don't want to fully wean him but I need to try to get him weaned during the day. HE will take a sippy and kind of for bottles, but frankly it's not enough for him to really get full off of. Like 1-2 oz tops! He will eat some table foods. I'm not really sure how to do this????

My fear is if I leave him with someone that he will scream bloody murder like he has and I can't take being gone from my baby know he is crying his head off! My problem is I am the only one at home so it's hard for me to refuse me Kwim? Any help is appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. Are you trying to wean him or just to take a bottle of expressed breastmilk? Is the problem that he doesn't like formula or is the problem trying to get him to take a bottle/sippy cup at all, regardless of what's in it?

I had to go to work for 3 weeks when Julian was 3 months old. He'd never take a bottle from me, but he'd take a bottle of expressed breastmilk from his dad or grandma as long as I (and my breasts!) were out of sight.

Here is the thing I might have to start working during the day so I need to get him on the sippy (cause he will take that) instead of the breast. My problem is I am the only one home so he will take the sippy but once he is tired or hungry ONLY I will do! So I need to get him where he okay with out ME during the day so when I leave him I don't have the fear he is screaming for me when he is tired or hungry.

He likes the sippy but doesn't drink enough to fill him just enough to take some drinks and to play with it but he gets the idea!

I wouldn't worry to much. Obviously, he prefers you to the sippy cup (what baby wouldn't?) but that doesn't mean that he won't take the sippy cup when he's hungry and you are not available to nurse him. After all, he does take drinks from the sippy cup now.

I agree with Cori- of course baby prefers mom. But, if your baby can't see or smell you- he is much more likely to take the milk another way. Have you tried having someone else give him his cup or bottle while you go outside or run to the store? You may be surprised to find that he takes it much better if you're gone.
