I used the bouncer and the saucer pretty much the same.. the saucer lasted longer of course because they can use it a longer time. :)

Of the things you listed, I used the bouncy seat the most. But, I used my sling WAY more than that.

:yeah I used the bouncy seat when I was taking a bath, he would sit in it until it was his turn to come into the tub...but he LIVED in some kind of carrier forever!! We still use a sling/carrier when we go out or if he is fussy around the house and I need to get stuff done!

Brittney, Andrew doesn't like the sling anymore :(

Oh no!! Carson doesn't stay in a sling for a long time anymore, just quick in and outs, but he will still stay in the mei tai (actually got a patapum) for quite awhile!! It all depends on the timing, though, if he is interested in what the "big kids" are doing then he wants out, but if he is sleepy/cranky then I just leave him in and walk him around! He isn't in it nearly as much as he used to be, but he is still rather happy to be worn around!!!

I'd say our swing. He napped in it EVERY day there for a VERY long time. It was kidn of bittersweet the day he realized he could turn around and climb up the back fo the seat to get out. No more swing time for mama :(

I said bouncer because that was her 'bed' for so long... but then I think swing came in close because she liked that (only side to side NEVER back & forth! lol) & used it on and off for about a year... :)

Abby still loves the sling. Sometimes she'll ask to get in it just to walk around the house.

It was different for each of my kids.

Tristan loved the vibrating bouncy seat, Jackson loved the swing and Casey hated all of them. :)

Vibrating bouncer. My FAV find was the My Breast Friend Pillow, worked great for keeping heavy Lauren off of my cesarean incision.
Off that list the saucer would come second :thumb

But I preferred the old fashioned saucers without all that noisy, tall toys all the way around. There was room for them to see, to rotate toys to play with and to have a snack......now, IMO there's too much going on.

:yeah But not necessarily about the saucer as we could have 'take it or leave it' with that... but that's how I feel about the bouncy seats. We had two, a new fancy schmancy one that sang and had lots of toys but it sat so "upright"... then we had one my SIL got at a garage sale for $1.00 that was AWESOME, it was so so soft, still vibrated, but was more reclined. When she outgrew them, we got rid of the fancy one & kept the $1. one - definitely want it if there's a 'next one'! :throblove

Really depends on the child. For Allie, it was most definitely the bouncy seat. Maggie much preferred the swing, but now we are using the exersaucer constantly!

Never owned a swing, saucer or jumper. Used the bouncer here and there when they were little. But the slings have gotten so much use... I seriously can not imagine mothering without a sling.

So funny, we had all of this stuff with Cameron and while I was pregnant with Carson I got rid of most of it...people were looking at me like I was nuts, I even often got "Don't you want that anymore? You are about to have a baby?!?!" :rolleyes I just knew how often I actually used everything with Cameron and new I wouldn't use it all again, but would be hanging on to it and having it clutter up space (like the crib! It really needs a new home...any takers?).

We may not have ever used a 'cloth sling' but I've been a human sling for 3.5yrs. :D lol

I tried when she was tiny & couldn't get the hang of it or knew anyone to help me. Then tried a couple times when she was older & it just didn't work for us... would have loved to have figured it out when she was little because I KNOW she'd still be loving it as much as I still need to carry her. :)

Out of the ones listed, we used the bouncy seat the most, there were no "Boppy's" around that I knew of so he spent a lot of wake and sleep time in there. It was easy to carry him around the house when I needed to do things and place him where he could see me. Then when he slept during the day, I would just put it in a quiet room with him in it and he was safe while I did other things.

I picked other because it was something different with each kid.
The swing most definatly was a LIFE SAVOR with my children, though Christopher wasn't as into it as the other two.
Those things are great for different ages IMO...
The sling was wonderful for christopher wish I knew about it with the other two.

I never used a door jumper they scared me, I was always afraid some how it would get lose and fall.

I tell every parent the must haves for me was the swing, saucer and sling. I used all of those a lot.

The bouncer was a hit or miss with me, it was nice to have but Christopher was my only child that liked it. So it's definatly worth trying :)

Jazmynn loved her saucer. It was a fancy one. We had won it free at a baby show!

Hard to pick b/c I used them all. I'd say to any new mom that she needs to register for each one of these :)

DS would still sit in his bouncy seat if he were small enough!

We are a "just the basics" parents. I had a doorway bouncer b/c it was a gift so we used that the most. I am not a great fan of saucers, swings, or bouncy seats. The bouncy seats were great for about a month, we didn't use our swing, and none of the babies liked the sling.
