Hair salons-recommendations needed

I have been travelling home to get my hair cut since I moved to Dallas. Not because I have a complicated hair cut, but because I am amazed by the high prices and I am scared to try someone new out.
Any suggestions...I live in the Park Cities/Oaklawn area.

I wish I knew of some near you! I like The Color Studio, but I'm not sure if there's one out that way or not.

Years ago when I worked uptown I went to Michael Raymond Salon (MR Salon) on Preston/OakLawn shopping center. Across the street from the Mercedes dealership. I was always happy with what they did and it was convenient that I could go on my lunch hour.

I used to go to Kristin Soheyly (sp?), (she got married so she may be Kristin Miller now.) at the John Vega Salon. It's on McKinney and Lemmon. She does a great job and is a super nice girl. She charged about $50.00 or so but well worth it.
I have a friend who goes to Jennifer at Regis Hairstylists in Northpark. I can't remember how much she charged but it was between $30 and $50. Her haircuts are always super-duper cute.

anyone at the downtown neiman's salon will give you a good cut, too.
