Another hello from Carrollton

Hi, my name is Janet and I joined the group yesterday. I am 33 years old, married to John, 42, for 10 years and we have a 2 1/2 yr. old boy, Jackson. I am also due with another baby in September. We find out the sex of the baby a week from tomorrow - woo hoo!
I'm a native Texan - actually was born and raised in Irving, but my husband and I have been out of the state for the past 5 years or so. We just moved back from Orange County, CA in November. Before that, we lived in Denver, CO for a couple of years.
I work full-time in my home telecommuting to the job I left in CA. I am a software programmer and my husband works for a telecommunications company. Jackson goes to the West Carrollton Primrose School and is loving it. I stayed home with him for 1 and 1/2 years, but needed to go back to work for financial reasons.
Anyway, this is becoming a book and I just wanted to introduce myself. Jackson and I won't be able to attend playdates during the week, but I would love to meet up with some of you on a weekend or on a week night. I have lots of family here, but not many friends (and it's hard to meet people when you work at home...). Look forward to getting to know you all.

Hannah - I lived in Lake Forest for a little while, then moved to Buena Park. So, I was VERY close to Fullerton! I could see Knott's Berry Farm from my front door, but never actually made it there. Didn't seem like a good place for a one-year old. I would love to get together sometime with or without the kiddos. Movies?? What are those again? ;)

Angie - where are you in Carrollton? We just bought a house near Old Denton and George Bush. I never hung out much in Carrollton growing up, but my husband and I really like it here. We should get our 2 1/2 yr. old boys together for a playdate soon.

I pretty much grew up at Knotts and Disneyland, my first memories are from both of those places!

I try to get out with a girlfriend at least one night a week, Im findning now that AUdrey is one, I tend to NEED the break more than I did when she was younger!!!

Oh my goodness - you are just about there, girl! How exciting! I bet you are SO ready. Heck, I'm only halfway done and I'm ready myself.
Where are you delivering? We chose Plano Presbyterian. Seems like a good hospital.
I just have to tell you - I had to do a double-take on your avatar picture. I thought for a second that your hand was your boob! hahaha

Janet: Well I am on Medicaid because I couldn't get insurance while I was pregnant because I was pregnant before I was able to get it at my work. I was working for a company and I started there about the same time I got pregnant. I didn't know I was pregnant at the time so I had to get on Medicaid. So I am delivering at Trinity Medical in Carrolton. Brian's aunt used the same doc as me and delivered there as well. Its a nice hospital but Plano is much nicer! I had to see a specialist most of my pregnancy because they thought something was wrong with my babies brain. Although they finally said there is nothing wrong with it. The specialist had an office at Plano so I got to see the nursery ward!! Its very nice!

It is great to have you here. I am Shanna wife to Jarret and mommie to 4 awesome boys. Bradley (9), Tristen (5), Kaleb (4) and Dalton (20 months) all homeschooled.

We live in Garland. Jarret works in Plano as a Network Engineer and I am a Doula and Midwifery student.
