16 Years Ago Today

I lost my mother.

I was 14 years old and she was only 45. I have lived my life longer without her, then I have with her. My girls no nothing about her...yet. I have to admit, I am doing better this year then any of the past years, but it still hurts. I think I have my beautiful two daughters to keep my spirits up this year. My focus is just different. But I will never forget her. I know she keeps an eye on us gives me little pushes now and then when I need some help.

I'm very sorry you lost your mother at such a young age. I can not imagine only having 5 more yrs with my kids - I just turned 40.

Sean would be 23, Kevin 19, Connor 17, and Garrett 8.

Wow Jamie... you mom was born only a month before mine. I really can't imagine how my life would have been without her. I didn't know that you had lost your mother when you were young. I'm so sorry :hug.

Wow, thanks everyone. I was doing ok on Monday, but yesterday and today I have just been in a funk and anti social. So I apologize for not being around.

I think it takes a lifetime to "heal" I can only imagine, but I know the boys think about their Dad at random times and they were really little when he died.
