Ok, here's the situation. My husband & mother are very much into the idea of me homeschooling our children. (Guess it's good to know I have support on the homefront!) I'm still not completely sold on the idea, but I am probably leaning that way, too. So, I need to do some research. What are some good books to look at? Anything available from the library?

Here are some great websites...

http://homeschooling.gomilpitas.com/directory/Beginning.htm

http://learninfreedom.org/recommended_books.html
(on this site it talks about the Whole-Hearted Child. I cant recommend this book enough. It is wonderful)

http://www.ecomother.com/books/books_homeschooling.html

http://www.geocities.com/forsythomedu/bookhs.html
(For the Childrens Sake is listed here and it is another that I would highly recommend)

Also one that I did not see listed is Better Late than Early by Moore. This is one every one should read. Hope this helps. It can be very overwhelming.

No books to offer you, but I just have to say ROCK ON GIRL!!! It is great to know that I won't be alone as a homeschooling Mama. Well, I am sure I would very easily plug into a network, but if many of my exsisting friends are also homeschoolers, that would be awesome!

I'm laughing at the Rock on Girl comment! :D

There was a homeschooling book in the latest LLL mailing...I'm wondering if it's the same as the book from Cori. I'll have to check. Easy read is a requirement for me at the moment. :)

Thanks for all the resources! Keep 'em coming if you've got 'em!

The books that everyone has mentioned so far are great. I just posted some resources in the "online resources" thread. I have a lot of links to different "umbrella school" curriculums like Calvert, Christian Liberty Academy, Covenant Home, Etc. If anyone is starting up soon and wants some links to different curriculums, let me know and I'll post them too.
