Very sad and bittersweet update...

Yesterday I told you about a new mother (co-worker and friend of my dh's)who was rushed to the hospital to have emergency brain surgery, was on life support and had to have an emergency c-section. The baby was days from his due date. A few of you asked to

The good news is that the baby, a boy, is doing just fine.
Thanks for all your prayers and thoughts. Please keep the dad and son in your prayers. As mothers (and some of single moms at that), we know it will be a difficult road ahead.

I am just so sad. My dh is beside himself...he just talked to her the day before. I feel so lucky to have 2 healthy children and to be healthy myself. I just want to hug my kids.

From what I understand she had a rare condition that she was unaware of having to do with the way the arteries fed into the veins. It was not something you would ever detect unless there were symptoms, but it all happened so fast it was not discovered until it was too late. The elevated blood pressure caused by the late term of the pregnancy caused a blood clot which went into her brain.

Wow i cant even imagine.. I will keep her and her family in my prayers...

This just makes me cry, My mother died less than 2 months after my little brother was born and I know what it did to my dad. That family needs a LOT of support.
