We finished our spring planting!!! I am so very happy! This is the first year I have done any planting. We built our home so the first year we just focused on learning how to be a home owner and do the basics that exsisting homes already have like stain the fence, build a brick boarder around the flower/bush garden, lanterns on the garage, ect. Last year I had an accident and surgery on my hand in April so my sis brought some flowers over and planted them for me (I was ever grateful) then I had a newborn. This year it was all me and boy did I love it! I went to the flower shop last Sunday to get everrything for the mailbox planter, front flowerbed and the tree that we were going to brick. I came home and asked John to put the bricks around the tree so I could plant. He was trying to explain to me that bricking the tree was more then a 30 min ordeal. I did not understand, I was ready to just plop them out myself. This project took him several days. He did such an awsome job! Our neighbor helped him. They measured and leveled the ground and dug a ton to bury some of the bricks. We finally got out the last of grass from the tree bed, filled it in and planted the last of my pretty flowers today. My poor hubby. Now I understand how much work that was. I am so happy though.

That is awesome!!! I have about 10 pots of bulbs and 3 flats of flower seedlings waiting to be planted. I have to do it Monday afternoon. It can be hard to keep up with a veggie garden and flower garden.

Awesome! We planted some calalilis (sp?) in our garden this year. We live in an apt, so we don't have much room. I can't wait until I can plant a fantastic garden in my own home........

Shana- you rock! I have yet to do the vegetable garden. I am still thinking about trying that this year.

Billie - You can have your own little paradise on your patio. All you really need is sunlight and a little love.

I haven't taken any pics yet, again, no digital. My film is almost up with today's easter celebration, maybe I will finish it up with my new flowers.

I'm very impressed!!!

While David was out of town I hired our lawn guy to do some landscaping! I thought it would be impossible for me to go outside & plant flowers w/ a baby & toddler. (Don't laugh) But I had planted silk flowers by our front yard tree the past two years because I tend to kill everything. Now I actually have real flowers!!
David & Brandi planted pumpkins in our backyard.

Wow, Kelly, did the silk flowers look real? That is pretty smart.
