without talking to another adult face to face? My husband travels alot so sometimes it can be days for me--the other day I caught myself asking my brother to let me out of the restaurant booth so I could go "potty":rolleyes

My husband doesn't travel for work, so I at least get to see him. Now whether we have normal adult conversations is a whole different ballgame.

Besides him, I usually leave the house at least once a day, so I see other people, even it's just in the context of a clerk at the store. Faith has preschool 2 days, dance & gymnastics, so I actually see friends and stuff a few days.

I think adult conversation is the biggest thing I miss about working.

I see my hubby every day, although sometimes it is only for half an hour. I also wouldn't claim that we ahve an adult convo every day- by a long shot. We didn't today! :(

I have been cooped up in the house with sick children for 9 days now- until I escaped to soccer practice this evening!
That should be some kind of record!

If you don't count clerks at the store I can go a few days sometimes when dh travels. We try to do something at least once a week so Mommy can have a real conversation.

I get out of the house every day too, or else I would go crazy. My See Mommy Run group, Ryan's play group moms, and my exercise classes at the gym provide that needed adult conversation for me.

I have never kept count, but I am sure I have easily gone a week when Ken AND Alex were out of town. (I would count Alex as adult conversation).

I say "potty" for myself too! Yikes! :blush

I can go a couple of days if my dh is out of town, but I talk to my mom and sisters on the phone several times throughout the day (not that is face to face, but at least some adult interaction). Not that we have anything interesting to say, but just checking on each other helps.

Cashiers at the store are often friendly and ready for a short conversation! :upthumb
Thank goodness for DAM so we have an outlet for those long adultless days!!

My husband travels too and now with a newborn I have to say I haven't left the house this entire week! (well except to get the mail). I did have a friend come over on Tuesday and bring lunch but otherwise the thought of packing the car with a toddler and a newborn just to "get out" is too much work at this point. Now starting next week I'll be 6 weeks pp and finally be able to get back to the gym! That's about enough alone/adult time for me to get through the rest of the day if need be. :)

I cannot believe it's already been 6 weeks! Gosh, it goes by fast, doesn't it?

Taking the kids out is sometimes just too much work for what it's worth-- I am looking into a gym with daycare though-maybe that will help!

Meggie,
It does get easier. :upthumb
Mine are spaced similarly to yours...2000,2001 and 2002. The older they get the easier it is to go somewhere with all of them. Two years ago, just going into the store to pick up milk (which at the time we consumed at the rate of 1 gallon a day) was a HUGE ordeal for me.

shannon - it did go fast didn't it? I can't believe it's already been 6 weeks myself!

Meggie - the gym is my sanity. I go to the ymca and I love it. Nick has been using their daycare since he was 6 weeks old and alex will too. All the ladies know nick and he loves it there! Not to mention the hour and a half I get to myself. :)

I would go crazy if I had to go even one day w/o face to face adult conversation! I have never gone a whole day w/o it.

I pretty much have adult conversation everyday. I am pretty active in a Moms group and so there are playdates to go to. Also, my Mother works nights...so I see her some too.

Before Seth I've gone days. Since Seth, I never let a day go by w/o him getting out seeing the world and other people...that is of course he's not sick. I guess when he had strep we went a few days....
