new to Dallas

Hello everyone. I am 24 and mother of a 28 month old and 4 week. My husband and I are new to Dallas. Glad I found this message board because I have not met anyone yet. Hope to talk with you soon.

Hello Nicole and Melissa. Thanks for responding and for your welcome. Finally I can talk with some moms that are in the same situation. Being a stay at home mom and having kids this age is a challenge.

I'm Chandra (31). I live in Rockwall (East of Dallas) with my dh Paul (33) and my dd Angelica (3). We moved to the DFW area in June '03 from Phoenix, AZ so I know how you feel. We spent our first 5 months in the North Dallas area and then moved to Rockwall once our house in Phoenix sold. This is a great board for meeting people especially when you have just moved here. There are a bunch of great ladies on here. I hope you enjoy the board.

I have a 25 month old & a 4 month old (both girls)! I totally understand what you're going through! My husband had been out of town for 3 weeks & that was the most stressful time I had been through since the youngest was born. David is leaving again this weekend & will be gone for another 2 weeks. So hopefully I won't stress out too much since I know what to expect now. My two yr. old is awesome going through the youngest screaming at night. Poor thing is already teething.

I'm more than willing to go out during the day if yall want to get out of the house!! I live in E. Richardson. :)

Hello Kelly. My name is RoseAnn. I live in North Dallas. Our kids are close in age. I do understand what you are going through. My husband is also gone alot. Well he works nights so we rarely see him. He works 7pm until 7am then sleeps until 2pm. It is hard. As your oldest has adjusted to the babies crying, so has mine and I am so thankfull. I am breastfeeding and that also takes alot of my time so my oldest is always waiting for mom to get done so I can tend to him. Being new to Dallas is also a frustrating thing. I have no one to turn to. So it would be great if we could go to the park or something. I usually go to this park I found on Belt Line just east of Coit. I don't know if that is in your area. Or let me know what else.

Hello Chandra. How funny. We also moved here from Phoenix, well Chandler. I was just telling Kelly B, that my sons and I go to the park alot and maybe we could all get together or some place else so the kids could play and we could talk.

There seems to be alot of Texas - Arizona trading going on. I know atleast 3 families that will be moving to the Tucson area in the next coming months. That would be fun to meet up and chat.

I live near Campbell & Jupiter in Richardson. So Beltline & Coit isn't too far from us. Since you're husband works nights maybe we can meet for dinner.
