ive been kind of scared lately that it will be difficult when we decide to try for another baby since i have hypothyroidism.

how long did you try before asking your doctor to look into things. and what all have you tried?

I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism (I actually have the Hashi Moto form of it) 3 months after my first son was born. We got pregnant with the second one 18 months later. We weren't trying to get pregnant at the time but it happened. I had been on medication for that period of time and stayed on the medication throughtout my pregnancy and breast feeding. I don't remember my doctor saying that I would have a problem getting pregnant because of the hypothyroidism. Are you just seeing a regular doctor for it or an Endocronoligist? I go to Dr. Stephen Aranoff in Dallas. He is wonderful. My mom actually goes to him to.

i see a regular doctor for it. but i know that one symptom is that its harder for you to get pregnant with it.

I saw my doctor at about the 9 month mark, but she started me on clomid at the 1 year mark. I am on my 6th cycle of clomid. She has not really done any tests except for an HSG because I have been pg before so she is not really proactive. Will probably be moving on to IUI here the next cycle or so.

I see Dr Aronoff too and he is WELL worth the wait to see him if you need an endocrinologist. I swear he's the reason we were able to get PG as quickly and easily as we did the last time. I've been seeing him 8 years.
