I was comparing my clear blue easy OPKs against $tree ones. Everything I found on the web says it's best to test a couple of times a day to detect your surge soooo...
Clear blue easy first thing in the morning (as it's the only OPK that you are supposed to do that with) and then I tested with the $tree ones at 12, 330 and 7. The CBE OPK found a surge 2 days ago but the $tree ones never did. I did go from having no line to one almost as dark as the control line but then the line over the next several tests got lighter and lighter. It never matched the control line's intensity.
What do you think? Did I O? Cervical positioning is correct but I have a CM issue that I drink Robotussin for while at high (per CBE OPK) so that's rarely a good indication. Temps did rise this morning but only slightly.
thoughts?

well crap...i've been doing the clear blue easy ones in the afternoon! I could have O'd and not even know...right? except that I still have sticky cm and I usually have 3-6 days of EWCM. Plus my temps are still low.
I don't think you have O'd just because your temps didn't really go up...UNLESS your temps are up for the next 3 days! But from what you've said, I don't think you have O'd yet. JMO

I know if you use CBE OPKs that go with the monitor, you have to do those with waking urine but if you are doing the ones that you read w/o monitor then you use afternoon. I could be wrong...
I don't think I've ever had true EWCM. Oh well..we are still BDing like theres no tomorrow. Yikes...I need a break! LOL

ok...i'm just using the regular ones. On cd12 I told dh we had to stop BDing because he needs to store up the good sperm...So we are waiting until the cd15 to start back up again...unless I get a pos OPK and then we'll get busy. But I think we've been missing the prime BD time each month because we either get there too early or too late...never in between...so this month we're going in between...i know that sounds confusing, but it makes sense to me ;)

Double check the clear blue timing, although the reason they say test in the afternoon is because the hormone may not have built up in the morning, so if you got a +ve in the AM then that's like a really positive positive to me!!
I have the CBE for my double check and I think it says it can be used anytime, but is better in the pm.
I guess your temps did not rise that much, but I would trust the CBE -but double check the am/pm thing. A false positive is much more uncommon than a false negative.

Sounds like O'd to me.

The monitor has to be used with first morning urine b/c it also tests your estrogen level and that's at it's greatest in the early morning.
That's everyone for your thoughts! This was our first month to use both types. I would think that I need a couple of months worth of tests to figure out better whats happening.

You are probably right. It usually does take a couple of cycles to really see what is going on!
This is my first month using opks and temping. Course I'm not doing a very good job temping...but I only miss a day here and there. i'm not going to stress with the ttc anymore.
I have a question though...The opk instructions say that if the line is *light* then it's not a surge. I'm wondering if I should go ahead and test again in the morning so as to not miss the surge or do I just go ahead with tomorrow afternoon?
