For those of you using $1 OPKs

I'm using the dollar tree OPKs this month and comparing it against my clearblue easy monitor. My monitor this morning said I was at peak and by their instructions I should be b/ding today and tomorrow. Providing the $1 OPK that I take at noon sees an LH surge I'm not sure what to do. The packaging for theirs says to have sex 24 hours after the surge.

Now...for those of you that used these dollar tree sticks and got pg..did you have sex when you got the surge or did you wait the 24 hours?

I guess I just worry since I paid so much for my clear blue easy OPKs and just one dollar for the other.

I BD the day that I got the positive. I got pregnant once out of 6 I think.

However, the time I got pregnant with Sevi, we had sex the night before. We were not trying due to a recent mc. OPK was negative that day. Took it the next day (DH was now oot for the week) and it was positive. Ruht Roo. Now I have a beautiful 6 month old. LOL

The BD schedule my OB suggested was BD every other day from CD 10 until pos OPK then BD every day for 3 days.

Just because you get a pos OPK does not necessarily mean that you will O in the next 24 hours...it is just detecting the hormones. I have gotten a pos OPK and then not Oed until later in the cycle after another pos OPK...whacky cycles, I know, but I wanted to share my experiences and what my OB told me as well.

Well my monitor is at peak but the OPK from the $tree shows no LH surge. I'm going to take another one tonight. I know it says to take it the same time each day but the web says that this brand is the least sensitive of all of them (of course that's why it's buck :) so I'm thinking of trying again tonight. Due to DH's slight sperm issue we have to have a couple of days of build up. We are doing something different this month. We waited until I got peak. My OB suggested we do it every other day until peak and then every day at peak. that hasn't worked so we are trying it this way. We will see!

It's just frustrating b/c no matter what..it's hey..you are going to O sometime between 12 hours from now and 48 hours from now. Gee...thanks! LOL...no matter what though..it's time to get Bizz-eeeeeeeeeee

Other brands of OPKs normally show some LH for me except at the very beginning of my cycle. You know, a faint line, even though obviously not positive - just like they're supposed to do. The dollar tree ones never showed anything. I figured they just didn't work for my body.

That doesn't exactly answer your OP, but I just wanted to share that about the $1 sticks.

Well today my 2nd line was faint but then it got darker...but it was outside of the 10 min time frame so I'm assuming it's showing no surge.

Frustrated! I just want to get pg again and put all this charting and obsessing behind me...so I can obsess and chart my pregnancy! LOL

The most annoying part of all OPKs for me is not peeing for 2+ hours before. I pee constantly, and that is torture. I don't have a bladder infection or anything - it's just the way I'm built.
