Opinions on Cable vs DSL? I have to choose m

would you help again ? :confused
Here I have cable tv and cable connection.. but for me to get that there it will be $105 a month, DSL is $29.99 a month for a year, and the DIsh is $40 so it saves $30 a month, unless we get the DVR with the dish, so what do you think is better? Comcast or Bell south, and DIsh vs Cable?

WE have both we have comcast for High speed internet and Satelite for Tv. We spend about 80.00 a month for both..

WOW!! We just want one premium channel HBO and it will cost us$67.00 for their one movie channel package on comcast and I think $53 with dish but internet was $30 are there no fees or taxes that hike it up another $20?.....

NOw we dont have any movie channels but i think its just 12 more a month for satelite movie channels. i think when we were paying for Hbo our bill was 58.00 a month but we took it off since they kept playing the same movies over and over..

we have cable Tv and cable for the internet also!! We don't have a home phone we just use our cells!!:) we pay abput 80.00 for high speed and cable but we also have Hbo and a couple others!! They usually offer specials...

When I called they had NOTHING in terms of specials now :cry

I didn't like Comcast for cable TV. Where I was at in Dallas, they were constantly having outages, picture interference, and their customer service left MUCH to be desired. I had to schedule installation 3 times. Each time I called and asked why they didn't show up to install the cable and they kept saying they never took an order from us?!?!?!?! And it took 2 weeks to get the intial appointment, we ended up not having cable tv for a month. I'd go Dish or DirecTV...

We have DSL for our computers but that's because my hubby wants static ip addresses so we pay extra. We have more than one computer hooked up.

we have comcast for tv and internet. We have digital cable and 2 movie channels, plus internet and I think we pay 120 a month. But comcast internet has been the best and the fastest we have seen since being here. And we havent had any problems with it in the past 6 months we have had it. so I think its worth the money. I hated satalite we had Direct Tv and it was always going out on us.

If you can get it, go with DSL, but you have to have phone service with Southwestern Bell. They have a package now that has speeds twice as fast as Comcast at the same price. You have to be located within a certain distance of either a central office or a remote terminal however.

We are using Comcast because DSL is not available where we live. The installation was a nitemare, but so far I am happy with the speeds.

We had Bell South DSL in Charlotte and had zero problems with them.
