Anyone know where i can get a good car seat for Jacob. He is growing out the infant one we have now and need to get one that he can fit in. I saw some at wal mart but I am not sure where else to look. We dont have alot of money right now and I am sure i will end up asking my mom for it but where can i go to see some that are safe and have that belt in the back for cars where you can latch behind them as well..

I've heard that Cosco brand has had the lowest ratings from the Transportation Safety people, so I'd stay away from that. We got our Evenflo carseat at Wal-Mart. I found it online at Walmart.com and it was on sale for about $80. I was just trying to find it on the site and I found a similiar one, if it isn't the same. It is the Evenflo Titan 5 Convertible and the model # is 3671195. It holds up to 40 pounds, so you won't have to buy another one for awhile. Before I bought ours, I went to the Transportation Safety website and made sure the seat had good ratings. I can't remember the web address, but I'll try to find it for you. By the way, the seat I found on the site is about $60 bucks. Hope this helps.

I researched on Consumer Reports because they do all their own crash testing and I got the Triumph car seat. It was one of the best ratings wise and a big sale for me was that I had read a review from a Mom who was involved in a 6 car accident and the only person that wasn't hurt was her child in that car seat. I bought it and 2 of my other friends bought it as well.
Triumph 5 Comfort Touch Car Seat with LATCH - Rockefeller - that is the one I got. I believe it is around $119.
If you want to look into some you can sign up for Consumer Reports for $4.95 for one month and research what you need then cancel. That is what we did and well worth it.

Here are some sites that I used to help us. We went with the Britax Marathon, but it is on the $$$ side.
Babies R Us is a good place to go see them in person. Toys R Us has some too but not as big a selection.

And my favorite. This one even tells you what people who have the car seat you are looking at think about it in the type of car you have.

Good luck. I pulled out about half of my hair before we finally decided.

We went with the Britax Roundabout...twice. Both girls have them. I love them. They are also pricey (around $200), but easy to install and easy to use.

Ok my mom offered to buy the car seat. I saw 2 at wal mart's website and what do yall think of Cosco brand? http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2233776&cat=91368&type=1&dept=5427&path=0%3A5427%3A86323%3A91365%3A91368 also this one http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=2350867&cat=91368&type=1&dept=5427&path=0%3A5427%3A86323%3A91365%3A91368 I just have to make sure that have that one strap for the back where you can hook it to the car from behind. My car offers that and they seems to be more safe..
