Mel Gibson interview

Did anyone watch Diane Sawyer's interview with Mel Gibson last night? The one where he talked about his new movie? I was supposed to tape it for my hubby (HUGE Mel Gibson fan) and I couldn't get the VCR to work. Was it a good interview? Does anyone happen to have it on tape or TIVO?

I saw it and am only more impressed with him. The fact that he and his wife have managed to stay married as long as they have and that they had 7 children, always made him interesting to me. In the interview you saw a man truly convicted by his beliefs. Agree, or not, it is refreshing to see someone unashamed of his/her religion.

It seems that today people would sooner say they have been taken up in UFOs as to admit they actively participate in a religion for more than a social outlet.

Bummer ~ I went to that link and it says I have to be a RealOne SuperPass or ABC News on Demand subscriber to watch it!!! Oh well ..

I didn't watch it b/c I was sure that the VCR was recording and I wanted to see it with John instead of watching it twice. Guess I should have watched it while it was on the air ....

I bet if you do a search on it later this week you will find free showing available...

Last night Diane Sawyer asked him if people of other faiths were going to be kept out of heaven and he said no, but that it was easier for Christians to get in.
They didn't mention his wife specifically in relation to heaven/hell, but he said she deserved a medal every day for having put up with him in the past.
He said he chose to go to a church like the kind he grew up with (Catholic that still does mass in latin and has the pre Pope II restrictions) I am not Catholic, so I don't know the details of that... because he felt that to help him get over his addictions he needed to return to his roots. ..a more concervative Catholic church.
He denied being anti-semitic(sp) because that was racism and racism in any form was UnChristian.
