Hi everybody,

I am very new to this group ...let me first introduce myself as Nandhu. I am 30 years old and have been married less than 2 years. We started planning this year, only to find from the initial blood work that my progesterone levels are very low as low as 3.3 on day 25.Also, some cystic masses are present in my pelvic area.My cycles are perfectly timed...never been irregular, 28 days to the clock.

I am very new to Dallas and my OBGYN is Dr Briant Herzog. Has anyone heard about him?Is he good? He recommends a lap to be done to remove the cysts.

If anyone on this foprum, can help me with any insights..I'd be glad!

I promise to learn all the acronyms soon:)

Thanks,
Nandhu

Welcome! :wave

I can't answer your questions, but we do have a few ladies here who may be familiar with your fertility issues. Good luck!

Welcome! I am not real familiar with a lot of fertility issues. But I do know that low progesterone can be helped. I'm sure your doctor will be able to give you something to increase your progesterone. Have you talked to him about that?

I am dealing with two issues:
1) Low progesterone
2) Cystic masses in the pelvic area

So, a laproscopy will have to be done. Since am so new with Dr Herzog, just wanted to see if someone had heard of him or is a patient with him.

I did a mini search on him as I like to search info on doctors and this is what I found below.. Hope it helps some, and if I find any thing else, I will let you know! If you want a second opinion and dont mind a drive, I could let you know of another good OB!

Recommendations
Great combination of skill and bedside manner. Excellent staff - the best!! I have been going to him for 7 years and have recommended him to many friends who are also happy patients.

As a prior labor and delivery nurse, I know who I would trust as my personal obstetrician. My son is healthy today because of Dr. Herzog's handling of my emergency c-section and proper management. I highly recommend him.

This is MY doctor - he is wonderful he helped me deliver two of my three children. Both pregnanies were "high risk" and I have complications. We were extremely sucessful with healthy happy babies. Now that I am older he attends to my aging gyn needs with grace and care. He is just a beautiful soul.

Welcome to DAM!

I have not heard of your current OB. Where does he practice?

If you are feeling a little uncomfortable with having a lap, you could always get a second opinion from another OB. A lap is a big decision and you should feel that you are absolutely making the correct choice for you and your DH. I would be happy to recommend another OB to you for a second opinion if you like.

There is a thread titled TTC Abbreviations in this forum...head over to it and check it out if you are getting a little lost on the acroynms.

Good luck and make yourself at home here!

Thanks for your research!!

I consulted two other OBGYN's and all of them think I should get a lap done.
