Hello all!
My name is Amy. I'm in my mid 30's and live in the Lakewood/East Dallas area. I've been here about 7 years, but was born and raised in Austin.
I'm a Mommy again to James Connor born 11-26-03. I have two older sons 16 and 14(both born at home in Austin). James was a "dream baby", it took 5 years to convince my husband we weren't "done". We delivered at Baylor University Medical as this pregnancy became high risk. Dr. Graham(super OB!!) helped me succeed w/ another med free delivery and the hospital was great. (Our original plans were to use Birth and Women's Center on Swiss.)
James is two months and a joy! I went back to work this week and it has been really hard. I am pumping, but he's not enjoying the bottle.
I was a SAHM w/ my first two. Any advice for getting through this would be appreciated. I'm probably going to try LLL.

Welcome, Amy. I am Elaine and I too moved here from Austin (2 years ago) to be with my then fiancee now husband. There is lots I miss about Austin but I'm learning my way around Dallas slowly but surely. My daughter Meredith was born 4 days before your little one (11/22/03) :) This is my first and I am enjoying it so much. I, too, am going back to work but not until mid-March. Let me know how it goes - I'm sure I will need all the advice I can get when it's my time.

Hiya I'm Mara, SAHM to Zoe who is almost 4 months old. Congrats on your newest addition to your family!
Welcome to the board!
A LC would be my advice, mine really helped me with early bf'ing problems!

Hi Elaine! What part of Dallas are you in? We chose to live in our area b/c it reminds me so much of Austin. Tree's, old homes, White Rock lake...
I'd love to get a playgroup together. Are you part of anything. Our babies are os close in age. Yours is adorable!:)

Hi Amy! I'm Cori. I have an 8 yo step-son, a 18 month old little boy, and another baby to be born at home next month.
I'm a birth doula and I have to agree - I really like Dr. Graham.
LLL is great for pumping advice - especially the North Dallas group. It's an evening group that meets at Dallas Presby. Because it's an evening group, you'll meet a lot of pumping/working mamas there. What type of bottle nipple are you using? Avent is often recommended, but whatever brand you choose, make sure it's a slow-flow nipple - it's most like breastfeeding.
Hope to meet you soon!
