We TIVO'd it last night and I'm going to watch it today. Now ya got me scared..I hope our TIVO didn't cut off at the very end. I'm going to be so upset if it did.

I'm wondering if it ran longer than normal time?? Because normally it starts wrapping up WAY before it actually goes off! :(

Right when Jack was talking to Ana Lucia.....he said something like "I hear you were a cop"....and then it cut off.

He asked her how long she thought it would take to build an army!

Yes, the previews looked really good.

Next week looks exciting. They show Charlie breaking open a Mary statue with the heroine inside, and the rest seems to focus on Claire's baby. It gave the impression that The Others attempt to take him again- it shows a bassinet floating in the ocean, then someone picking him up (but I couldn't tell who). :(

CRUD!!!!!! I missed it!!!! I got all caught up in AI and forgot all about LOST...I cant believe it! Yet another reason we NEED TiVo!

It was good last night! I am glad we finally got to meet the "others". Even if it was briefly. Next week looks really good too. I kind of got the impression from the previews for next week that Charlie goes crazy and takes Aaron or something. We are TiVo-less here! With Lost and 24 and AI on now I think we need to buy one!

I wondered how the Others knew that Walt is special? And I wonder if we find out what happened to Michael next week.

In this show, the flashback is always connected to the present-day island happening, or at least sheds some light on what the character's motivation is. But, I didn't really see the connection in last night's episode. We found out why Jack is no longer married, and that he tried another impossible operation on a man that didn't work. How is that connected to what went on on the island? Was it just meant to show (again) that he hates to give up?

looks like Sawyer and Kate are getting closer, and Jack and Kate are drifting apart... Enter Ana Lucia?

Matthew Fox was on Ellen yesterday and he said that last nights show was going to show why he is so overprotective of Kate. He always has to fix things....remember Sarah said that? I think Jack needs to 'fix' his relationship with Sarah by protecting Kate...in some weird roundabout way.

Also, this is probably too far-fetched to be true-- but something my husband said last night- what if the guy Sarah was seeing turned out to be Desmond? Remember, it was unclear last season if it was a picture of Sarah or not in that picture with Desmond in the hatch?

& How did he know LOCKE'S name was JOHN? Jack only ever calls him Locke, so they didn't hear anyone say John... ;) He said something else I wondered about as well, but now I don't remember lol. Also... I'm thinking he really didn't know who Ethan was when Jack asked about him, he just said "That's an interesting theory...";)

Yeah - what Jen said! lol Only I didn't translate it into meaning he was still trying to fix Sarah, only that he ALWAYS has to fix SOMETHING. He HAD to fix that girl's dad (even though he didn't), he's ALWAYS fixing something... & I think it was showing he was trying to FIX Kate by not letting her go with them...? But again, he could't and that's why she was caught...?

Hey, not too far fetched! ;) The LOST boards think that too... Well, it's split pretty evenly into either Desmond or Jack's DAD! LOL But there was something fishy going on with him last night too...hmmm...

Here's my question...a few episodes ago (before the break at Christmas) Kate kissed Jack. Have they ever talked about that? She just seems to be hanging out and flirting with Sawyer, and she and Jack are pretending it never happened? :scratch Seems odd to me...oh and how Jack said, "I know, I know, you love her" over his shoulder to Sawyer when they were looking for Michael, Sawyer says "what did you say?" and then they never talk about THAT again, either! I'm waiting for these issues to be DEALT with, darn it! ;)

I think the point of the flashbacks was to show that Jack chooses to try to fix "impossible" things rather than deal with the problems he already has. Like he chose to perform that surgery, and spend all the time it would take to prepare for it, etc. rather than fix his relationship with his wife. And by the time he decides to do that, it's too late. So, similarly, rather than talk to Kate about their kiss, his feelings, etc. he decides to run off and find Michael...and then to build an army to fight the Others. He's still doing exactly what his wife criticized him for...basically pushing people away by trying to take on "miracles."

I thought it was interesting how Jack's dad was talking about crossing the line and then the guy from "The Others" also mentions crossing a line. I thought the mention of the Geronimo Jackson album was a clue of some sort. The writers went out of their way to point it out. On th elOst boards, some say the band is real and some say it is made up. The girl that kissed Jack was beautiful. I wonder if she will make another appearance. I wonder where Eko was hiding last night. I missed him! :)

I was wondering the same thing about Eko. I just got around to watching the show last night via TIVO :D

I can't wait for next week!!
