What was up with Drew Barrymore :nono :yikes

I saw her. She looks like she put on some weight, which is is not exactly bad, but with that dress!! Not to mention her girls needed a little help. Was her dress backless? Is that why a bra was not considered?

I have been watching it off and on, but I haven't seen anything too bad, yet.

I think it was just the dress. Personally I love Drew, but her dress last night was the color of lit up Christmas dress in satin, it clung in all the wrong places, which could be why it looks like she gain weight, and like I said her girls could have used some help.

This morning on the Today Show they were talking about it too! Guess no one really liked it. I'm sure we'll be able to find a picture somewhere!

Did anyone else think Joaquin Phoenix kind of snubbed Reese Witherspoon? In her acceptance speech, she mentioned him by name and how he inspired her, etc....in his, he thanked "all the actors." She was June Carter to his Johnny Cash, for gosh sakes. Of course, he's a little weird anyway LOL.

I thought the funniest part about the Drew thing was the camera shots. They started showing her and her "ladies"...then slowly as her speech progressed, the camera started zooming in so her cleavage was no longer visible....so funny!!!! I can just hear the director yelling at the camera man...."ZOOM IN ZOOM IN!!!":lol
What could she have possibly been thinking?!?!?! Does she not have a stylist, or ANY good friends that said "Honey I don't think that dress is a good idea!!"

In the picture her dress looks really flat, but last night it looked really bright on screen. I have to admit I do like the sleeves and that's about it. She normally knows how to work with her curves but this is just bad.

Another dress I didn't like was Gwenth Paltrow. Jason had to ask if she was pregnant or if it was the dress.

I agree about Gwenth's dress...it wasn't working for her either. I agree that he kinda snubbed her but wasn't he just arrested not that long ago for something? He didn't look happy to be there anyway.

I was shocked see that lastnight, thats for sure!!! Gave me a good laugh when my exchange student asked me about it.. and then we went into a convo about Pamela Anderson being "big" and how come they are and then I had to explain breast implants to her, boy was she shocked! LOL :biglaugh

Aww poor Drew. I didnt watch last night but the dress in the picture doesnt look THAT bad to me...not ideal for her body type though. Ive definitely seen worse!

I was wondering about Joaquin Phoenix too, because Reese looked a little upset. He looked stoned or wired or something....but maybe he always looks like that. I think the elvis guy was on something too....

I'm sure that Anthony Hopkins DOES pronounce his name "Antony"...but no one in the States does. It just seemed really affected to me (think Madonna's fake British accent) for her to keep saying it that way. But I did like her dress.

And the Elvis guy ALWAYS looks like that...he's creepy. :eek Joaquin has had questions about drug use plaguing him since he made Walk the Line (apparently he was REALLY intense during filming) and since then he's done odd things like ask interviewers if he has a frog in his hair (this really happened, and he was serious). Last night did nothing to convince me the concerns aren't valid...he looked really out of it. Still, I'm glad he won...he was great in the movie.

That dress is pretty bad! Too snug I think. I didn't see Gwyneth...I may look for a picture. I think she is cute when she is pregnant and I wanna see what dress she picked.

I loved Gwyneth's dress. You could tell it was made for a pregnant woman. What was up with Alanis Morsette? She had blonde hair and so needed a bra. She looked awful!

I don't think Drew wears a bra unless she has to. The picture of her isn't really as bad as it was on tv.

Gwyneth has a nice belly on her. I think she's somewhere in her 2nd trimester. It's gotta be hard to find a dress for the award shows when you're pregnant like that.

Sandra Oh's dress was stunning, and I loved her speech as well. I could never get by with it but it worked on her. :love
