I would like to move to Colorado, but DH won't budge out of Dallas.

No way! I am too much of a desert rat to handle a lot of snow.

I voted other because I like both extremes, I guess.. 6mos in the heat and 6mos in the snow...

I really do prefer springtime weather like we have been having though! So if I could get that year-round, that would be awesome!

At this point I'd just settle for living somewhere with rain!

I lived somewhere where it snowed most of my life... I LOVE the way it looks from inside a nice warm house!! I thought that I couldn't wait to get away from the cold.... but with 80-degree weather in the winter.... I'd kill for some cold weather now!

I voted "other" because I probably wouldn't mind living somewhere where it occationally snows, but I don't want to live in constant or a lot of snow.

Yes, if my family was there. :) I grew up where it snowed every winter. I love snow, and I love cold weather.

No way. I hate snow. I have been up to the northeast in January to visit my BIL and SIL and thought it was ugly. Not while it's falling - then it's pretty. But in the days afterward, the way it's just piled up anywhere it will fit and it's all gray and black from dirt. I would be depressed looking at that all the time. Besides, I hate being cold. I would rather be hot any day than cold. But I'm a born and raised Texas girl, so there you have it.

I said other. I would not want to live where winter lasts from October to March or April, but when it is winter, I think I would like to have a little bit of snow, especially in Dec. I don't like just plain old boring cold weather, but snow gives you something to go out & do. It would be fun if we could ski or snowjet.

My brother lives in Los Alamos, NM, and it seems a pretty good compromise. It's definately very desertlike, but there are some mountains not far that get enough snow for skiing.

:yeah I know Teddy would love to be somewhere he could play in the snow. I think Harry is going to be more of a warm weather kid.

I voted other because I want to move to Colorado or Utah(in the mountains) when we retire. I don't want to be snowed in when I have to be somewhere, or have kids at home. So when dh and I are old and grey we will be the old folks snow skiing at 75!!!

Me too and I HATE HATE HATE summers here - always have. The heat suffocates me!! I hate walking outside after taking a shower and might as well not have :nut - I would LOVE to have 4 actual seasons :D

I grew up in Upstate NY on Lake Ontario, where we saw snow from October to April. It was a blast as a kid, but I'd hate to shovel the driveway that much now!

I miss the snow about 2 weeks out of the year. So if I could find someplace with just that much snow... I'd be happy. Or somewhere where I could live in the more temperate climate, but the snow wasn't too far of a drive away. Southwest Oregon, maybe?

Yes! Grew up in VA with snow, lived in NC in the mountains with snow, loved it. Lived in OH for 3 years with an amazing amount of snow. The first year we lived there, the total snow accumulation the entire year was 10feet. Would not want to live where the ground was covered with snow constantly the entire winter, takes the excitement out of it all

I would move to a snowy place in a heartbeat!!! I grew up in MA and I really miss the snow. Now that I have kids I miss it even more. I am so sad when I think that my kids will never play in the snow like I did as a kid. To me it is just not winter without snow. I am so ready to wear sweaters and winter coats. I am tired of shortsleeves!! I used to love going sledding in my yard and ice skating across the street in the cranberry bogs.
I hate the summer. Can not stand the heat. It makes me sick.

I don't mind the cold at all, but I am TERRIFIED of snow/ice... grew up with it, was in too many wrecks (mine & others fault) & that's one of the main reasons we moved to Dallas... if I could convince Jeremy to go farther south & to even LESS snow (lol) I would! :D

I did not like the 7 mos long winter that occurred in Vermont, but let me tell you, Utah was GORGEOUS! There was a TON of snow on the ground, but in Park City we were walking around in jeans and sweatshirts since it was in the 30s. SLC had NO snow and it was beautiful weather there.

I really miss snow! It's one of the things I don't like about texas - It's just too bloody hot and there's no winter. We're planning on retiring in Colorado as well. I'm looking forward to it! :)

I'd love to have snow for a couple months, but not much beyond that. Growing up in IA, I saw my fair share of snow, and living down here I do miss that. I do like 60 degree weather in winter, though.

I grew up in Michigan and that was enough. Scraping windshields every morning, shoveling snow just to get out of your driveway... no thanks.

We will retire someplace warm!

I'm with Michelle, I didn't stay in Canada for a reason!

I wish we lived somewhere with easier access to ski slopes, but I wouldn't trade decent weather for skiing.

We may not be close to slopes, but at least we have easy access to DFW:)
