Briannasmommy 01-04-2004 Sunday, 03:08 PM Hi laides! I needd to begin scrapbooking. I have been slowly buying things on sale and now I feel like I have enough to get started on my family album!
I would like to join anyone and scrapbook. I am pretty flexible and don't mind driving anywhere. I can go to your home or you can come to mine. My husband is great at taking care of Brianna and giving me time to myself so I can do this in the evenings or on his days off. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nina
mistas 01-04-2004 Sunday, 03:32 PM Actually now that we bought a photo printer I am wanting to get started on scrapbooking as well. I have alot of stuff for it I bought from my friend in Newe jersey. I would be intersted..
Mara 01-04-2004 Sunday, 04:14 PM I know there is a group of people from this site that have met and scrapped together in the past!
I've had a hard time getting started myself. I have a blank album, a photo printer, lots of paper, scissors, etc.. but I'm not sure where to start on the album. :P
I have been good at making all my holiday cards. I made 75 baby announcements, birthday cards as well as all my xmas cards. They aren't the best, but I enjoy making them in my spare time.
Anyway, I'd love to finally get started on my book as well...
Mara :)
seebee 01-04-2004 Sunday, 06:15 PM I was one of the ones scrapbooking. We were getting together at my friend Linda's house in Plano. Although she's a Creative Memories consultant, she had no problem with anyone using other scrapbooking supplies. :D And she's not a pushy salesperson type, either.
I go to her place because I find get a lot more done when I don't have Josh around! :) She does charge a small fee ($7 for 3 hours), which I feel is fair since she has to clean up her house & organize space, donate her time, offer suggestions, provide supplies & snacks, etc. But I realize that the fee may make this undesirable to some, so if anyone wants to form another scrap group, that's ok. Another option is a place like Recollections in Frisco, which has a scrap room that's free to the public.
Now that the holidays are done, I do hope to get back to Linda's & scrap in the next couple of weeks. I'll post something whenever that happens.
jakesmommie 01-04-2004 Sunday, 06:18 PM im also interested in scrapping. I need to get some stuff done so ill be interested in whenever.
Rachel 01-04-2004 Sunday, 07:02 PM I am ready to scrap again too.
Briannasmommy 01-04-2004 Sunday, 07:13 PM Awesome! I am all fired up now and I am game for whatever is more convinient for everyone. I also don't mind the $7 fee since I really like Creative Memories and we will be using her stuff and time!
Just let me know when we can do this!
Nina
seebee 01-04-2004 Sunday, 09:20 PM I need to talk to Linda tomorrow, and I'll see what her schedule is like.
Mghmom 01-04-2004 Sunday, 09:49 PM Ok, I have always been interested and have even bought some things but have absolutely NO creativity and am clueless on how to begin or what to do. Any other beginners out there???

ivyinez 01-04-2004 Sunday, 09:53 PM I too am a wanna be scrapbooker. I have some materials I bought years ago, but never seem to take them out. I am sure it would be good to get together with others and work on these darn pictures. My hubby even got me a dock printer for my camera. Time to use it!
Briannasmommy 01-04-2004 Sunday, 09:54 PM I am also a beginner. The only thing I have done is put a first book together that came with instructions on how to put the stickers on by Creative Memories, LOL! Oh yeah and one page for a friend's wedding book!
So you are not alone!
Nina
Astreia 01-04-2004 Sunday, 10:01 PM I'm interested also!! Keep me informed!!! I've started on a scrapbook but I'm behind.
seebee 01-05-2004 Monday, 10:19 PM Ok, Linda is free any night next week except for Wednesday. The time would be 7-10 PM. So, anyone else who is interested in coming...what day works best for you? We'll see if we get a consensus. I'm ok for any night, I think.
Also, if anyone is interested in coming and just getting some startup hints & ideas (but not actually working on a page & using tools), there's no cost for that. She has a lot of good idea books, plus she's been doing this for many years & can probably help you figure out where to start.
Briannasmommy 01-05-2004 Monday, 10:59 PM Mondays or Tuesdays are great for me. That is awesome and I can't wait to get started!
Nina
Astreia 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 05:34 AM Tuesdays are best for me!!
seebee 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 10:40 AM Two votes for Tuesday. How's that work for you, Rachel?
Mara 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 11:22 AM I'd like to come when Zoë is a bit older. I'm not ready to leave her yet! Besides I think she is going through her 3 month spurt and shes hungrier at night lately!
Mara :)
seebee 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 03:04 PM Don't worry, Mara. We've been doing this for a while, and I'm sure we'll still be scrapping when you're ready. :)
jakesmommie 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 03:49 PM tuesday would be fine wth me too
Rachel 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 05:04 PM I think Tuesday works well, Let me check with John. I actually got my scrap book out this weekend and did a few pages. Of course that is only possible if Ellie is asleep. I think I should be caught up to date soon. Yeah.
seebee 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 05:06 PM Yes, I can only work on my book when Josh is asleep. And even then, I usually have other things that I need to do! I haven't worked on my book since we last met.
And Rachel, you're doing great on your book! I really didn't even start working on mine until Josh was about 10 months old, aside from entering some baby information.
Rachel 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 07:27 PM I know I am wierd, but I took out most of the informational pages. I did a few at first but I don't really like them. This is really bad confession, but I really don't have the exact date for her latter milestones. I know she slept through the night at 8 weeks and hasn't done it again since. She rolled over at 4 ish months, she did it at the sitters, of course they told me and I cried all evening that I missed it. I have moved on since though. She stood up and crawlled at 7 months. No teeth and no words. I do have pictures commemorating the milestones though. LOL. I guess I am not into documenting.
seebee 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 07:44 PM My documentation isn't exactly perfect. I know I'm missing a lot of the early stuff, like rolling over for the first time. That same thing happens with my videotaping, too! I end up going for months forgetting to tape stuff.
seebee 01-06-2004 Tuesday, 10:30 PM I confirmed next Tuesday with Linda, since that looks like a good date for most. All those that are interested in attending, send me a private message and I'll give you the contact information. :) Should be fun!
seebee 01-07-2004 Wednesday, 07:24 PM A quick bump for those who didn't read the above message. :)
Rachel 01-11-2004 Sunday, 08:46 PM I don't think I am going to make it to this one. Sorry girls. Have fun!
Briannasmommy 01-11-2004 Sunday, 10:49 PM I can do next Tuesday but not this one coming up since I am already trying to do two Mom's Night out!
Nina
seebee 01-11-2004 Sunday, 11:19 PM I understand, Nina. I need to check with Linda about next Tuesday, too; I'll let you all know.
And we'll miss you, Rachel!
