**prayer Request**

I posted this in the childbirth, maternity section, but since it's a prayer request, I'll post it here too....

Today I had my first pre-natal visit and we didn't get the best news. Based on my calculations of the various dates I would be 8 weeks pregnant. However, when they performed the sonogram, she said I was measuring smaller than I should be (about 6 weeks) and asked if I was 100% sure about my "dates." The only date I'm 100% sure of is the date I took the pregnancy test. The other dates could be anyone's guess. Basically, she said that the size of the baby, sack AND the extremely slow heart rate are all signs of a possible miscarriage. I'm going in again next week for another sonogram to check the measurements and heart rate. My prayer request is that everything is going to be okay and that the heartbeat will be strong next week and this is all a result of being off on my calculations. Maybe it's just too soon to tell???? Please pray that this baby is meant to be.

I'll say a prayer for you and baby. Hopefully, the dates are just off. I was positive about my dates with both of mine, and have always measured 1-2 weeks ahead.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. Unfortunately, things didn't go as we had hoped. I went on on Wednesday and the heartbeat was completely gone. I had a D & C yesterday. I'm recovering well. I'm relieved to have this behind me...the past week has been HELL waiting and wondering. Now I can start the healing process and move forward. Thanks again for all of your kind thoughts and prayers.

I pray that you will have a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby!! Sometimes dates get mixed up, try not to stress (harder done than said, i know!) too much.. Take some time for relaxation..

I'm so sorry for your loss, Angela. A few Moms on here have also suffered miscarriages. I had one last year, at 9 weeks gestation. If you need to talk, you can PM me--I know how hard it is. :(
