Avacados

Does anyone know if you can freeze avacados (for baby food)? I have never done this in bulk since it seemed wierd to freeze but now I am wondering. Do you ladies freeze avacados for your babies?

I think it's possible, Rachel, but I think it will probably turn brownish-black. However, you could experiment with adding a little lemon juice to the avocado; Ellie might question the funny sourness, though!

Is the brownish black actually bad. My bananas, apples, and pears turn a slight bit but I freeze them right away so not too bad. I have yet to add citrus to her diet.

Yes you can freeze avacados.

I froze avocados for Teddy and they turned a little brown but not bad. I don't think it affects them other than not looking as appealing. After a while Teddy didn't like them plain so I'd mix it with apples or pears (sounds weird but he ate it up!) I think I mixed it with chicken too. These combinations sound worse than the baby food jars now. :p
