I need some MAJOR help! (PS)

I'm trying to get my Christmas cards uploaded today, but I am having major issues. Starting with....


I can't figure out how to drag and drop the photos into the new document!

what is the new document?

I had to make a new 4x8 document (don't know what else to call it) to drop 3 pictures on and save it as one to upload for the card.

can you highlight it, copy it and paste it as a "new layer"?

Which tool do I use to highlight it?

I don't have PS. Maybe you can go to something like "edit" and "Select all"? then copy?

I do that in PS pro all the time, they seem to be similar.

No select all, and I can't even hit copy in the edit menu (it's dimmed)

You have t highlight something before you copy it, I would think. The selection tool is an arrow on PSP.
Hmmm...that works in both programs that I use. Make sure you are clicked onto the picture you are working on...I am sorry I am zero help! :(

Once you have both documents open, mouse over the picture you're wanting to drag, left click on your mouse, hold, and drag it to the new document. Release the mouse, and wah-lah!

Is there a certain tool I need to be using, because that's not working!

I figured it out... I'd run midnight sepia on it, and it was on the "dodge and burn" layer. Once I put the pic on the background layer, it worked great! Thanks Laura! :)
