:belly At my 9wk post op visit after having Charlie I was told I was preg. and we were SHOCKED! After trying for years we really thought we would never have another child and WOW WOW WOW. Charlie was 6mths old and I am preg. and we moved to Dallas from Houston to be closer to my parents who were just transfered. I was still using my dr in Houston and my mom and I went to find out what we were having and we called and told Craig that we are having a GIRL and I think he screamed so loud that everyone in Arlington heard him, I think he was happy. We were happy to have one of each. I came back to Dallas and walk into our place with Pink and white baloons, a Pink Mommy to be Ribbon, Pink Jellybeans and a cake and cookies and Pink roses (the man is on cloud 9). Another no sick and loose weight preg. and this time no diab. we had alot of brax. Hicks. And then I woke up at 32wks and feet swollen, head pounding and pounding hard, I went to the Fire Dept and had my BP check and it was through the roof. I called my dr and was told to come in, Called dh and told him to meet me and then my parents to come and drive me to the hospital. I came in and it was still very very high. The dr is like I guess today is baby day. I went in and was taken back with my mom and hubby to the or and at 6:14pm on Sept. 10, 2001 Alison Danielle Simmons was born weighing in at 5# 9oz and also retrack breathing and taken to the NICU. I also wanted to get up and moving after her also. With a child in the NICU you want to be there and not in bed. I was allowed to do Kangaroo Care (Skin on Skin Contact) loved those times with her. She was on O2 also and then next day when Craig and I walk in we saw the O2 gone and were happy till we got closer and saw something else, we asked what was going on and were told that she was having more and more issues breathing and to put her on the vent. ( I was made that no-one told me and I had to find out that way ) After several days she was off the vent. and breathing room air and getting stronger. I was sent home again without my baby and then the dr told us that she could come home on Monday. Monday my mom and I went to go and get her (DH work wouldn't let him off) and I got a phone call to say that she isn't coming home today. They need 5 days no episodes, what episodes and I was told that she quit breathing. Another shock to us and this time the nursing sup and I had a major talk. We finally got to go and really bring her home. She came home and Charlie was everywhere she was very protective little brother. We just loved to watch her and climb to see her. Out little miracle baby and surprise all in one.
