I've read the manual to my camera, and I still can't get good pics! They come out all pixelated looking, blurry or just plain fuzzy. And forget any inside pics, they look like crap with the inside lighting. How do you guys do it?????? :(

Sniff, sniff, that doesn't help me Rena. :) No really, yours are good! I'm not even worried about WHAT'S in my pictures (background, framing, etc.) I just want my stinkin' camera to work. Ugh, I'm just so frustrated.

Marci: What kind of settings do you have your camera on? I ALWAYS use my Child Mode whenever taking pics of B. JUST by changing to that, I can see a HUGE difference. Maybe you're not on an appropriate setting for what your photographing.

Well, I didn't see a Child Mode. Hmmm. I have most everything on auto, mainly because I don't have enough time to decide what setting to switch it to when Madison is doing something cute! Ya know? Shouldn't auto be okay? AND, everytime I turn it off, they all default back to auto anyway. Unless I can figure out that "my settings" thing. :)

you probabyl dont' have a child mode... i've never heard of any other camrea but mine having it, i was just using that as an example.

Do you normally use a flash?
Anytime i try to skip the flash, they turn out blurry :bag

Yep, my flash always comes on, except for outside. I need to take a class for my camera....gosh, I'm dumb. :(

I get so frustrated with how my pics turn out. I can only occationally take a decent picture outside. Never inside though.

Angie, it's frustrating, isn't it? I see all these good inside pics and wonder how everyone does it! Jackie, this is the camera I got. I'm not sure why it says "refurbished" though....mine was new.

I am the SAME way. The camera we have is pretty nice as far as I know. We have had it for a few years. But I can't ever get the pics to turn out looking as good as these other moms. And I just leave mine on auto too because I don't even really know what the other settings are!! hehe. I could use some help too!

The pixelated issue is probably not a camera setting is it? Beyond the one that has the "quality" of the picture. Not that I am one of the ones that gets good pics, but I always keep my setting for that on the best quality (that means my memory card holds the least amount of pictures possible).

If you don't have a high enough quality setting when you start cropping them down, you lose even more quality.

This is what mine says on that menu:

QUALITY

3M -F 409
3M -N 863
2M 1277
1M 1597

So, my camera will "only" hold 409 pictures when I have it on the highest quality setting, which is always. I have to reset it whenever I take the batteries out because it will default down to the 2M setting. I can tell a huge difference with that one setting.

I think I have the setting up high, but I'll double check. Thanks Teri!

I use mine on auto most of the time... & often even use it at 2MP or even 1MP if I need more 'space' on my memory card... ;)

Having good lighting is best, but no matter what make sure you 'focus' before taking the pic. Are your hands shaky? Do *you* see anything wrong with the pic of your playroom or tree? Because they look just fine for digital pix... :) HTH - I was trying to stay 'simple' lol...

Well, Chera, it's not every pic. And funny thing is, the pics of my tree and playroom were taken in the dark! I turned the lights off everywhere else and took the pic. I notice I get a cleaner pic like that. I'll have to post a pic I'm talking about....
