juliema 12-15-2003 Monday, 08:35 PM Well, I had my anatomy scan today and the doctor says everything is measuring perfect. It's always such a relief to hear that! I also gained 8 pounds since the last visit...yikes! That has definately been hard for me to stomach, even though I know gaining weight is part of the package. :) Anyway, I hope everyone had a good monday!

Meg 12-15-2003 Monday, 08:58 PM Good news! And don't worry about the weight gain...I also had a hard time dealing with it (not so much during, although a couple of nurses gave me a hard time, but afterwards when I realized I then had to lose it all) but it is pretty easy to lose it once the kiddo arrives. If you nurse you'll lose the weight in no time, especially since it will also be summertime, ie. HOT! Glad everything went well!

Oooh boy, I think you can tell I DEFINITELY lost it, and it's STILL gone! LOL http://pages.prodigy.net/rogerlori1/emoticons/confused.gif
Dorothy 12-15-2003 Monday, 09:19 PM Glad the appointment went well!!! I have my dr appointment tommorrow and I am looking forward to mine as well!!! Anyways glad the baby is doing well and don't worry about the weight gain I gained 10lbs in 3 weeks!! :eek
Mara 12-15-2003 Monday, 09:23 PM Congrats on the Ultrasound!
Makes me look back at that time with such fondness! The first few weeks after having Zoë I was completely ready to only have one child, now I'm at a point where I think we could do a little brother or sister! (in the future, not now!)
I also gained 8lbs in one month. The nurses even circled my weight in red! I'm going to join baby boot camp after Christmas and work on getting back down to something close to pre-baby. :)
Such an exciting time you are going through, cherish every moment and above all SLEEP as much as possible! :)

Dorothy 12-15-2003 Monday, 09:42 PM Yes take mara's advice SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!
singinmama 12-15-2003 Monday, 10:17 PM Don't worry about the weight gain, it's all part of the package! I'm at the point now when I go in that I don't even pay much attention to the scale. I actually have not gained very much, about 20 lbs, but I figure the Dr will say something either way if it's too much or too little. Just eat healthy, walk and SLEEP. Before you know it that baby will be on his/her way! I can't believe I'm due in less than 6 weeks!
Billie 12-15-2003 Monday, 10:21 PM I am glad your scan went well. Don't worry about the weight, you look GREAT girl! Just keep up what you are doing, you're definitely on the right track (pun intended;) ). It was great getting to meet you and your dh at the party and I hope we get a chance to see you again soon.
Carol 12-15-2003 Monday, 11:12 PM Glad to hear the ultrasound went well. Like everyone said, don't worry about the weight gain. I gained 7 lbs in one month during this pregnancy (I was around 18-20 weeks at that appt.) and the nurse said that it's really common to have a big jump in the middle of the pregnancy like that.
juliema 12-16-2003 Tuesday, 08:34 AM Thanks so much guys! I really appreciate all the kind words. :) The most important thing, of course, is that the baby his healthy and growing, and he is, so I am definately happy (despite being a bit wider)! I also recorded a video of the u/s this time around that I can't seem to stop watching.:D

CathyAnn31 12-16-2003 Tuesday, 09:55 AM Hi Julie, I don't think we've met. I am due just a few weeks before you! I am going crazy cuz my OB doesn't do the 'big' ultrasound until 24 weeks. I have to wait til the end of January!! UGH!! :mad
Are you feeling as good as I am? Sometimes I even forget I am pregnant. This 2nd trimester definately is the honeymoon of pregnancy, lol.
CathyAnn
Dorothy 12-16-2003 Tuesday, 10:15 AM Speaking of weight gain I gained 5 lbs in 2 weeks ACK!!!!!!! Oh well! Just wanted to share!!
juliema 12-16-2003 Tuesday, 02:00 PM Cathyann - You're not going to believe it, but my doctor does an u/s at every appointment! I love it. :D He doesn't listen to the heartbeat on the doppler because of it, but I have a friend that rented one from stork radio, so I've been able to borrow hers to listen. :) I was really surprised that he did the measuring this early cuz most doctors don't do that until 20 weeks. I'm definately not complaining though. Congrats on your pregnancy and I look forward to meeting you! :D

S&co. 12-16-2003 Tuesday, 03:28 PM That's great, Julie! I wish I had as many opportunities to see Ford on U/S, myself; what a great thing to look forward to at each visit.
Don't worry too much about the weight. Keep exercising, though, so you stay fit.:thumb
