Did you shop on Black Friday?

Just wondering how many went and fought those crowds?

We cheated, LOL. We got some great Target deals. Dh is a part-time Target Associate, so we had one of his friends hold them for us until later in the day. We got the digital camera that was on sale with our 10% discount! I also went to TRU and got a Leap Pad book for Ethan because they were $9.99. I didn't do the 5am business though--not my thing at all.

I bought one thing online (Thanks Nicole!!! :bounce)

The only thing i got on Friday was my new side by side fridge freezer from bestbuy, i didnt go early and it wasnt too busy and i was able to get my fridge delivered next day so i was super happy.

We go every year, but not at the crack of dawn. I think we headed out around 10ish? It's not worth a few dollars to drag myself out of bed at 5am.

Absolutely not. I hate fighting the crowds. I'd rather go on a weekday morning right when the mall opens.

I went over to TRUs after the kids wrote their letters to Santa (about 6:30 pm). Wasn't bad at all. I did get lucky though and get the last pegasus that was on the floor (they probably had more in the back).

Just need a few last things.

got up at 2am to sit in the electronics department of superwalmart for their $88 digital camera, needless to say i was first in line but not the first in the electronics dept. there were 7 other people there before me, sitting in line playing cards waiting for the lap tops!!!!

Well, I worked 5:15am to 3:45pm (and was WORN out when I finally got home!), but got 2 doorbusters for my kids after I got off and then hit old Navy for a velour jogging suit for me!! I also got a BF spcial online Thursday night at Walmart.com----their deals were up at 7pm Thanksgiving night (probably earlier, thats just when I was on)

I went to Old Navy yesterday to get another velour jogging suit, but they only had the tops left :(

I can imagine! They were picked over when I went Friday evening, but I "lucked" out and found some more pants near the p.j.'s at the one in Mesquite, so I was able to get a matching set in black (I didnt need the pink anyways, no way I could keep it clean!!! I have a teal one and I am so nervous about staining it!!) The price was just too good to pass up!!! I was just bummed I missed out on the $99 dvd players that are the portable ones! I soooo want one for the kids!

went to old navy...gymboree...and of all places walgreens...lol...and it wasn't bad at all...i wouldn't say i loved every minute of it...but it was okay

Now I need to find a sale on the 101 piece food set! LMK if you find it anywhere! I added it to the cart to see what shipping would be and it was $10 :yikes Shipping can make a "good deal" turn into a bad! :(

My husband, sister and friend stayed at Wal-Mart for 7 hours -- they got there at 10PM! Sadly, they weren't the first ones there -- some had been there since 7:30!!

I don't like crowds on a normal shopping day, but they had a blast and are planning for next year!

I did shop on Black Friday, but not at the crack of dawn. I think I finally got out to the stores around 5 or 6 PM.

I got out around 8 AM and had to go to a different Target to find the deal I was looking for. But I enjoyed my time out shopping & away from the kids. :)

I got up for the $5 wallflower refills and BBW!!! but thought Oldnavy is JUST right next door...dh was working so i had the kids...after shopping and standing in line for about 25 minutes tanner had a COMPLETE meltdown so I left my stuff about 8:45am!! went back about 2pm and it was MUCH better!! no lines and most ALL my stuff was still available!!

But boy i have never seen so many people in my life ... wow

We got to Walmart at 5 am and got in and out of there in 30 minutes. then we went to Linen's and things, and then Foleys..

we did well considering all together we only spend about $600 ..heeh

I went with my mom to JcPenny's and Target. We went at about 9 or so. She wanted to go to Walmart and I told her she would have to go by herself. I went once and I've had my fill. If my mom wasn't in town, there's not way I would have gone. We even ventured out to Stonebriar so the kids could get out of the house and hubby and I went to Cheesecake Factory for an early anniversary lunch. It was crazy!!! The kids had fun, the grandparents had fun and we got to enjoy an uninterrupted meal :)

Yes dh and I were at Walmart @ 4:00 am this is the 1st time I ever went out on Friday and it felt great we got everything we wanted without much fuss. We got the digital camera and portable dvd player and some toys. My favorite the Garth brooks box set!!

YES!!! I had a blast!! My Mil and I only went to Walmart, she later tells me we could have done some more shopping, next time I guess I need to ask. I wanted to go to Old Navy but that is ok. I did get the $68.00 Portable dvd Player, and a travel case for $10.00. I also got ds a video now cause it was on sale for $25.00 couldn't pass it up. Got dh the Garth Brooks box set for dh. I feel it was a great shopping trip.

Yep! :D We had a blast!!! The girls and I all got up at 3am, and left the house at 4am! We were at Walmart (in Lufkin) at about 4:45am! The parking lot was packed, so we had to park at the very end. It was a zoo in there! But Mom and I tag teamed to get what we went in for. I got Ashleigh a LeapPad Plus Writing system for $25, and then helped my mom get 2 portable DVD players and cases, and a TV/DVD combo (that I actually carried down the isle on my shoulders because you couldn't get a buggy through that mess of people!). It was so much fun. We hit Belk, Target, and the mall before we were done. By 1pm, we had gotten everything we wanted, and were on our way home for a nap!!!

My answer is more like a HELL NO!!! I hate dealing with rude sales people and rude people in general. I am doing most of my shopping online or during the weekday mornings when it's not so crowded!

Other - I went last year and had a blast, hit Kohls at 5 am and got some screamin deals on toys. This year we had our pics with Nicole, so I couldn't go. That's ok, it was well worth it to do the pics instead. I did go on Saturday, but all the stuff I wanted was sold out, so I guess I'm shopping on-line!

I did not shop on Black Friday. I entertained the idea of going to Grapevine Mills at 5am just to take away a good parking space and walk with DD in the stroller, but then I decided that while I will take her out on any other day, Black Friday wasn't the day to do it. I thought, "Hmmm...if I had a cold or the flu and were inconsiderate of others, would I go out anyway in the name of a good sale? Sure!" I didn't want to subject DD to that (DH had to work but since I have the boobs, DD goes where I go anyway)...on any other day, I can kind of avoid people who look sick. Also, I just knew that we'd get plowed into or something and I'd have to be MeanMama to defend my baby. ;)
