"soon to be" SAHM hoping to join the group

Hi all! My name is Julie. I am 29, live in Coppell, and am currently a stay at home "soon to be" mom. I am currently 16 weeks pregnant. My husband and I moved here last year and I have since had a difficult time meeting people as I don't work and don't yet have my first child. I am hoping I can join in the group despite the fact that my first child is only halfway here! Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you all better. :D

Where are you planning on having your baby at? And do you know what you are having yet??

Thanks dorothy and nicole! Thank goodness for the internet. I can't imagine how much more difficult it would be to meet people without it. :D Dorothy - I actually have my anatomy scan this coming Monday. We should be able to find out the sex at that appointment, but Scott (dh) and I have decided to wait until the baby's born to find out as it's our first. :) My doctor is affliated with Baylor of Grapevine so we will be having the baby there. It just doesn't seem real to me yet! I am hoping I get to feel the baby move by christmas...what a present that would be!

Hi Julie! :wave I'm Meg, a SAHM to Jackson, 17 mos. We moved to Dallas in May and I found it really hard to meet people, too. Then I found several mom's sites like this one, and have been grateful ever since!!! It's so nice to have other moms to chat with, ask questions, and meet up with when you HAVE to get out of the house. ;) Glad you're here, and hope to meet you soon. (you should come to a playdate just to meet some people, even though you don't have a kiddo to bring yet!)

btw...I love the name Jackson! That was actually on our list and one of my favorites, but Scott liked Nicholas better so we agreed on Nicholas Stephen for a boy. :) No girl name picked yet as everyone pretty much thinks it's a boy! :p

Im new to Dallas too, well, it's been a year but I was a newleywed AND pregnant so I didnt use that time to socialize, and now I have a fabulous 8 month old daughter and am ready to make some lifetime friends!

This seems to be a good place to do just that!

Well Julie, you know that virtually GUARANTEES you're going to have a girl! We had a girl name picked and couldn't find a boy name...then found out we were having a boy and were frantic trying to pick a name! LOL
