I called James this afternoon to see when he was coming home and he told me his dad was in a medically induced coma in Nashville. He's been on a certian heart medication (I don't know which one) for a few months now (he had surgery in the Spring). He woke up this morning and his tongue felt swollen. His wife looked at it and it was twice the normal size. They went to the ER and they had to put him under to put him on a ventilator because his whole throat was swollen. James is taking it well. He doesn't know when they will take him out of the coma and he's is actually suppose to be up there M-F next week for business. I can tell he's upset, but he's playing it off like it's not a big deal. Like I asked if he called his older brother (his stepmom only called James's twin because that was the only cell number she had), he said, "No need to get everyone worked up." But then he told me he did call on the way home. I asked if he'd called his mom (his dad and mom are still friendly and talk about once every few weeks on the phone) and he said, "Nah, no need to." But that's his way of dealing with things. The "it'll work out" approach. I'm not much better. I don't do emotional situations well at.all! So, any spare thoughts and prayers would be appreciated! Thanks!
